Re: HKR up Next
As has been said a nice dilemma for DP for a change with players coming back.
It’s weather conditions that we will need to deal with as well. HKR should be. Ore used to it but if they have so many out its a good chance to 4 from 5.
Thought McMeeken looked good when he came on and only change for me would be Milner for O’Neill.

Obviously they lost Masoe to that awful injury, Hauraki,Garbutt,Abdull and Hadley all struggling although one of them may make it, and Parcell the latest to go down.

Re: HKR up Next
Jesse, Milner and Foster apparently back this week.
Imagine all 3 will be in 21 man squad, and barring injuries, probably see Peachey, Hepi and Turner drop out for them.
We have a Reserves game on Weds v Bradford at Horsfall Stadium (rearranged game from this week) so should give fringe players a chance to stake a claim.
I'd drop out O'Neill. Lad has covered well last few games but is still raw and needs managing. Reserves game will give him a competitive game with men. I also view this as a big game in terms of getting points on the board before a couple of games that could see the results go the other way.
Jesse and Milner should both be back in and I think Smith could be the other to drop out. Gave away a few pens on Friday and think Jesse offers more enthusiasm and to his game. Milner is a first teamer regardless so should be included providing he gets through this week OK.
Probably something like this for me:
Rankin, Olpherts, Matautia, Shenton, Clare, Trueman, Richardson, Watts, McShane, Massey, McMeeken, Holmes, Milner
Subs: Millington, Jesse, Griffin, Blair
Big bench, do them in the forwards.

Don't put all your eggs in the same basket. Big games ahead need to play cautiously with selection. Always keep a couple of aces up your sleeve lol.

Re: HKR up Next
I'd play the same 17 Thursday, then bring Jesse, Feki, Milner etc back fresh for the Warrington/Saints games.
Re: HKR up Next
I certainly wouldn't be dropping anybody who's playing well at this stage my thinking being when a player does get a chance he plays out of his skin to try and keep his place

Need to make sure we gett wins in these sort of games so have to go with out best available team. Wire and Saints after. This will be very tough so grab a win while we can.

Re: HKR up Next
Massey?
Never came back out 2nd half did he? Dropped of some tackles I think.
Would he get in above a fully fit set of forwards now?
Re: HKR up Next
Massey made most tackles first half with 23
Re: HKR up Next
if any one deserves a rest it must be Millington played every match plus friendly's the oldest player and for me still one of the best, anyone can tell you the knocks take longer to get over as the years roll bye
Re: HKR up Next
Millington looks sharp to me no idea why you would want to rest him,and im not saying masseys a better player than milner but to me hes playing well and he wouldnt lose the 13 jumper

Re: HKR up Next
I like Millington in the back row at the minute, he's not having to make as many tackle or hit ups as he would at prop. Obviously when we have more back rowers available then he'll have to move, I'd personally like to see Millo at 13, better hands than Massey and more effective in attack.
