Given the numbers of players we’ve had injured, 4 points from our first three games is a pretty good return, considering we’ve played Wigan and travelled to France.
or looking it from a different perspective, we’ve won 2 from 3 one of those against the competition’s whipping boys. Far too early to make a judgement either way.
As the saying goes: you can only beat what’s in front of you.
Of course it’s way to early to make a judgement, but if we’d lost three from three I think we’d all agree that would be a worrying start.

Let's not get misunderstood here. It's simple, we we're outplayed by the better team in all departments, end of. To say someone who's played the game doesn't know more than or as much as someone who hasn't is talking bo**ox. If you haven't played, you have a perspective of a person who hasn't played, even though you might have watched the game a long time, whereas someone who has played the game and watched the game has both perspectives. While I respect fully the opinions of both, I can tell you that whilst you are playing you can tell after say 10 minutes of a game wether your team is going to win or not. This theory worked for me for a very long time in the amateur game at a good level. You just know!!

Glad you weren’t on my team. I wouldn’t want to play alongside someone who thinks they have lost or won a game after ten minutes.

90% of games are won and lost in the first few minutes
That’s BS. No game has ever been won in the first few minutes.
You can always settle your differences on the in play markets gents, though I think you'll both be taking a short cut to the poor house if you think either of those statistics are factually correct.

Nothing to settle it’s my opinion based on my years of watching, playing and coaching which I stand by.
It’s Not the first time fumper as attacked another posters opinion because it doesn’t match there opinion and I’m sure I won’t be the last, water off a ducks back and all that.
Anyhow the games gone we move on to Friday and hopefully start the game better than we did yesterday which will give us a far greater chance of winning.

Actually, I wasn’t slating anyone’s opinion, just stating my own.
I’ve been involved in plenty of games where I’ve been both 12-0 up and 12-0 down after 6 minutes and come out with the opposite result. In my opinion and experience, It’s not about how or you start but how you finish that matters. You can always correct a poor start using the time remaining in the game. It’s all about the attitude of the group and the willingness to put right what has gone wrong.

The fact is a game is won on momentum and who makes best use of it. Very often a team will open up a 12/18 point lead only for the momentum to swing and the opposition then score 12/18/20 points.

Catalan game is now water under the bridge, big question did we come away injury free we hardly go a game without losing one or two, sooner we can get Jesse back on the park the better, using his enthusiasm to gee the players up when things are going wrong

A couple of interesting videos here (apologies for the quality) from the Catalans game at the weekend.

Penalty to Castleford. Catalans get a speaking-to.

Penalty to Catalans. Olpherts gets 10 minutes.
Harsh? I certainly think Olpherts' contact didn't warrant Tomkins going down like a sack of spuds, and I've seen worse contact go unpunished.

Well what a load of B
That is pathetic from the officials.
I think Hewer needs dropping never mind Thaler.
And they wonder why fans get on their backs.
Shocking,

I’ve never bought in to the conspiracy theory, but in recent weeks there have been two instances in front of the review panel for exactly the same offence with identical wording on the minutes. Outcome, Peanut 2 games, Darnell McIntosh nowt. I’d love to hear the reasoning.

What about the lad from Hull who did the same and got 3 games???

Thought it was an automatic yellow if you impeded some one in an attempt to prevent a quick restart?

Suppose the card was for a professional foul, obstruction to prevent a quick restart. Tompkins just made sure the ref noticed it. Pity he didn’t go down as easily when we were trying to tackle him!
