However, a few things cornern me with certain players and their laxidasical attitude. Some trying too hard, some not bothered at all.

Both Jesse and Shenton forced off injured - it begins!
More injuries already .........

Nothing remotely exciting to look forward to on that showing unfortunately. Benefit of doubt but top four club against newly promoted club and we didn't look good at all.

Oh well a couple of weeks to sort it

Agree best team won... trueman and DR both quality players but lot to be concerned about we don't off load create second phase they did and got the rewards
Not having a go at either of our starting wingers but Eden looked sharpest man on field when he came on
Millington played well I thought and Griffin did well

Just as an aside apparently ladies loos not working.
We looked small.

We made a poor side look good.

It was only a friendly so hard to tell but I didn’t see anything to change my mind that we watched 2 of the bottom 4 teams there today.we will have a lot better idea in 2 weeks where we actually are when it means something

Well I think you would all agree that I’m one of the most positive posters on here, definitely a glass half full kind of bloke, but it’s hard to find anything positive to say about that even for me. Hepi looks good with decent hands offering something different although a bit unfit. Millo and Milner went well, Oggi and Griffin good in defence, Truman and Richardson showed flashes but after that I’m struggling. Only a friendly and hopefully we are keeping our powder dry for two weeks time, but all in all like watching paint dry.

the best team won on the day i thought Hepj and Griffin put themselves about, a man on report plus a couple of injury's made it a costly day for us , the crowd looked a above the announced number

I'd say oneil give his all and really got stuck in thought Pete went well in centre but we looked a yard of pace away from a poor team and we offer very little go forward prop wise and conceded soft trys

Simple got a big squad but not enough quality. Being saying for ages need a proper full back and another top quality centre and another big prop. Looking at bottom four or worse am afraid

Bottom 4 😂
It was a friendly were we swapped team every 3 minutes.
Watts smith Mcmeeken and cook all missing.
Think we will be about 5-6 next season.

OFFLOADS. OFFLOADS. OFFLOADS.

We lost the OFFLOADS stats by well over a hundred.

Toronto also out enthused us.

Thought Hepi and O'Neil had sound games.

Powell certainly has plenty to work on or we will be embarrassed at Shedingley in our first game.
I remember Peter Small

Thought there were a couple of decent moments from Richardson. I think we'll look better when Watts and Moors are in there. Top half of table for sure 💪👊

I'll be optimistic and say mid table. We were dreadful, I can't dress it up any other way.

Leeds have just beat Wigan. Wigan will comfortably finish higher than Leeds this season. I'm happy to wait till the season starts to judge.

Perhaps need to revise the pricing of pre-season games next year?
Very poor attendance (3346) considering it was a sunny day, the captains testimonial, a full strength team out (except those injured of course) against a superleague team.

Compared to the Bradford game (3306) on a miserable boxing day, meaningless friendly, very few first team players (and those that played, didn't play long) against a championship team.

Club needs to ask, "Why are supporters staying away?"

Watts, Cook, McMeeken, Smith, Blair, Moors, Foster all injured and missing.

Shenton went off after 25 for a head check. Jesse hobbled off and we ended the game with Clare at centre.

I feel like Toronto gave more away about how they were going to play than we did. Easy lessons to learn for 2 weeks. Friendlies are nothing more about getting minutes into legs and getting used to each other.

I thought Trueman and Richardson worked well in the halves and for large portions of the game we were defensively good. Bit blunt in attack but with forwards returning, I think we will have a bit more punch that we need.

Also couple of nice tries scored too. Plenty to work on too but that's what you need from friendlies.

3000 at Wigan for Liam Farrell's testimonial vs Leeds. That is more worrying I'd say.

People dont always have cash after Christmas too, while people will always turn up for meaningful games.

Bash the club but it is a sport and fan issue than a club issue.
