I must admit I’m absolutely loving the Lefty tears this last week. Luv it!! as Kevin Keegan might say, everyday unearths another gem!

Check out today’s footage of Jezza walking alongside Boris from the Commons to the Lords. His face is priceless. Have a great Christmas, CasRus!

Yes I saw old Jezza with a face like a smacked arse and ignoring BJ who was trying to be decent in offering conversation while they walked through and getting tumbleweed back from Jezza !! BJ should have looked around the floor for the dummy Jezza had previously spit out as he doesn't like royal pomp and ceremony !!!

You also have a great Xmas Alf and I'm hoping Capper and all our other Labour combatants will do also and forget it all now and let's all get on with life and see what pans out over the coming years.

So, WISHING YOU ALL A GREAT XMAS AND NEW YEAR !

Well ignoring the personal insults that you Tories always have to resort to, as I clearly said, I'm not unhappy or miserable. My life is full of joy and happiness because I'm not one of the millions of unfortunate individuals this Tory party has created.

I'm not defeatist, I'm a realist. I know any trade with other countries across the world will be subject to us giving them everything and taking nothing because we have no bargainin powers. Your yourself Crusty tol us of the massive power of China, I pressume that has not dimminished?

Any businessman or woman worth their salt can do great business with the agreements we currently have as part of the EU and you seem to prove that by bragging about how well you're doing.

The impoverished 'milking the system' is, to be quite frank, insulting! It is nothing in comparison to the multi-nationals, the high earners and even 'self-employed' tradesmen who milk the tax system way beyond anything the welfare dependent could achieve.

For the last time, and as is being proved by the current Tory spending plans, austerity wasn';t a necessity, it was a choice. A choice to punish millions who did not create the collapse of the global economy. If the tories are going to have to borrow even more now, why didn't the selfish bar stewards do it when it was needed before?

I'm off to read up on being selfish, see it if makes me feel better. Seems to work for some?

Hi Hazzy, hope me and Alf are keeping you entertained well enough - it’s been a right battle this past 2 months !....ha ha !!

I’m sure Capper and the rest who have now vacated apart from a guy called bald tiger from the Labour side who has today entered the fray may get down and dirty again before Xmas so we can respond but that might be just about to be exhausted as I think they are running out of any common sense track pretty fast ! Probably as fast as hair growing on bald tiger’s head !.... ha ha !! You’ve got to laugh now and again !!

Anyway let’s see if the Labour combatants come back before Xmas with responses but I’m sure they will in the coming year as there will be a few hot times when things do go a bit awry as politics always provides whoever is in power !!

Nice one Alf and a picture does indeed paint a thousand stories !!!

I just hope that everyone now gets behind what is about to unleash and stop pratting around after 3 years of blocking by labour and the remainers !

We are ALL ONE if we all get together to make it happen ! One People, One Nation so lets not divide ourselves and be Labour or Tory ! We are GREAT BRITAIN !!

If only our combatants could re-set their minds to think about this in deeper thought and not be anti all the time and get behind the cause of making this country another powerhouse, we could be great ! To pour cold water in what we have now unfortunately for them not being Labour they may feel is a backward step but if they only stop to think that this is tearing the country apart and is a road to going nowhere !

I still say for them to get with the program, give the headroom to alloy them to get on with it and then argue the toss on the more detailed part of the national issues, then we have a chance to significantly progress as a world and prosperous powerhouse !

Let's see what the thoughts are from this post and if our combatants are conciliatory and up for it ! I would always welcome working together as we are all one and one for all !!

OK you're back, good,,,, now I'll have a go for what it's worth,,, we are where we are, so give Boris a chance, he's only been in power a week for Gods sake, and they're knocking him already, give him a chance!,,, they're always taking about "austerity", but without sounding like a broken record, there was "no-money-left", OK capper says there was another way, but we couldn't do it the Labour way, we would have just gone round in circles and eventually disappearing up our own jacksee, I can't see capper and Co. changing their minds, but they should think about this, the "Hard Core" Labour voters in the North,/ Midlands/Sth Wales, changed their minds, OK there might have been a bit of Brexit in it, there might have been a bit of Marxist Corbyn in it, but they are not thick, they've given it a lot of thought (bless em) worked it out that at the end of this Labour Party in office with their Vivian Nicholson manifesto, there would have been another piece of paper "there's no money left",,,, Pixie Balls got in by the skin of her teeth, a lot of Labour voters voted for the "Brexit Party here, interestingly th'o, the Tory candidate got over 2000 more votes this time than last, so there were lots of Labour voters changed their minds here and voted Tory, there could so easily have been a Tory MP in Castleford, (oo eck) and should Boris do what he says, this Country should do well, which by definition means we all should do well, if he doesn't, well vote him out, I might not vote for him myself then, but as I say give him a chance, so get behind him please, imagine he has a Cas shirt on, and cheer him on,,, I've written all this, but I think I've wasted my time, so compliments of the season to all Cas fans, shame about Rob Burrows. ](*,)

Good God Capper, are you seriously saying that we would do trade deals and get nothing back because we have no bargaining power ? You said you actually know this ! How do You ? Have you got that Crystal Ball fired up again !!!

You've flipped mate, you really have and not even worth responding to that as that is an insult to all the businesses who are just craving to export with trade deals around the world which there are many of just itching to get out there with the produce we have as we have been resilient in certain sectors in the face of diminished manufacturing base from years gone by ! You need to go out of your room and come back in and listen to yourself as you are making it up as you go along !!

We've been in the EU for 42 years through successive governments and we still have potholes in the roads, very poor infrastructure to move around and a number of other issues need sorting which you keep banging on about so don't you think it's time to spread our wings and bring in more money from Trade Deals around the world like a huge trade deal in the offing with America for starters ! It's simply not enough just to stay in the EU and the proof is out there as I have mentioned and with the ever increasing costs needed for the NHS etc ! Don't you get that ????

Another thing about more trade deals with other countries, it opens up more friendliness with a work together culture instead of being suspicious with one another and to do say a great deal with China might get us to where we can share tech advances and the like - Huwawai for example are light years in front of us in the comms business and we could leverage into that tech and also their space tech - keeping distances from countries like this I'm afraid could lead to more troubling times so it's good to talk and share and be relaxed and open with each other.

I'm afraid you are wrong again on Austerity, it was needed to stop our economy crashing at that time and from your comment saying it was to punish the millions of our own people is beyond logic ! - You've flipped again here Capper !!

I'm sorry to say you are showing yourself up very badly as a sore loser just like you Leader yesterday slamming his garden gate and car door and his laughable tantrums at the Queens Speech with a face like a sulky smacked arse and sulking all the way through the corridor ! I thought he was going to break into a hissy fit ! - he and you need to grow up !!

Over to You !!

Good Comments Hazzy and good observation from an outside looking in perspective.

I'm touting for Boris to kick off the matchday friendly on Boxing Day …...ha ha !! That would cause a right old rumpus and some of these socialists on here choking into their pints !! You've got to laugh !!!

Now Now Alf, I know we have had a lot of stick and venom from our Labour combatants in the past but let's be a little Magnanamous with them as we should all look to reach common ground and be compatriots in the future - that's if they are willing also !!

Phew I need a rest digging that big word "Magnanimous" out and probably our Labour opposites won't even understand what it means anyway !...….ha ha only joking lads !!

Looking at how are local MP’s voted in today’s Brexit vote

Khan for
Trickett abstained
Balls Cooper against

She is still railing against the referendum result and the vast majority of her constituents

Isn't it a breath of fresh air to see Parliament unlocking itself of 3 years of Labour and Remainers blocking and to see that Brexit has now been approved to proceed !!

This past 3 years is a consequence of Remainers not accepting the Democratic Vote while Labour saw their chance to shackle the Tory Government for their own Power Grab Hungry aims !!

I wonder what the estimate is of how much these past 3 years of woeful purgatory has cost this country in hard cash !! Probably running into billions which could have been utilised for the homelessness and used to better effect for a number of issues !

What a Total Waste caused by the enemies of Democracy - They should hold their Heads in Shame and think about that money they lost the country when they pass another set of homeless people which could have been used to help them out !

Absolutely Scandalous and I wonder if they are proud of themselves after Labour initially promised to honour the vote and then backtracked to a Neutral position - Total Idiots and good to see their Northern voters also thought that and showed them they are not as stupid as some Labour MPs suggested by the sound of it !!

LABOUR SOLD THE NORTH OUT AND NOW SUPPORT THE SOUTH !! FACT !!

As it would appear the new Tories epitomise democracy, I fully expect them to respect the will of the Scottish voters by granting them another referendum on independence? (something else I disagree with!)

Yes well democracy is democracy and if they are in the majority of leaving then they should, however their referendum was supposedly once in a generation which should have been nailed down as being so at the time !

I honestly don't think Boris will allow them this referendum anytime soon and will see what pans out of Brexit and new trade deals which might persuade them to stay in the UK.

Personally, I do not think they will vote to leave as it will leave them very vulnerable as the North Sea oil now has it's limitations for the future with climate change and cars going electric.

Not sure what Capper is on about here (for a change) the SNP only got 45% of the vote so I don’t see how there’s been a clear change of opinion since 2014 which was supposed to be a ‘once in a generation referendum anyway’

My god it’s incredible what 4 general election defeats and 10 years in opposition has done to the quality of Labour MP’s

Just look at the candidates being touted for the new leader!

David Lammy
Clive Lewis
RLB

we are going to enjoy right wing government for a very long time
