The 3 Peaks Charity Challenge

Post by Fryston Tiger » 29 Nov 2019, 18:19

Just donated to this superb cause. Would be great to see us supporters get behind the team....if it's possible. Please nobody take this as a guilt trip. It is, after all, a personal choice and NOT a conformation that it makes you a 'real' supporter etc......I just think it's a very good idea to mix part of our pre-season with helping a worthwhile local charity.

Brilliant idea by the club for pre season. I’ve done the 3 peaks in the summer months and it’s unbelievably difficult even for regular fell walkers. Well done to all the lads and congratulations Liam Watts, Tyla Hepi, Danny Richardson and Paul McShane for setting the fastest time of the group. Also try and go over to the just giving page and donate a few quid if you can as the Prince of Wales Hospice is a valuable asset in our district that will have helped out many of our families and friends. Well done Cas, COYF!

3 forwards finish first. That's a good sign indeed.

done it loads of times mate but long distance challenge events are my thing. they have done well though and i'm glad they got a clear sunny day as the views help to get you round. i had to smile when i saw them celebrating on the final peak as you will know its still about another 5 miles back to the start through all the limestone pavements. i'm assuming they will have had a guide but still a great advertisement for the club. especially as they were wearing cas tigers gear and a lot of other walkers will have seen them.
