Re: Jamie Ellis
If going on Danny Orrs' interview, it seems Ellis will be staying as a back- up squad player.

Re: Jamie Ellis
Ryan as not pushed on when he played for our 19S i thought he could have made it, in the teams he as played for he as not been able to cement a spot down, to sign the lad would be a step back

Re: Jamie Ellis
Can't believe the
' Bring back Brierley' sentiment on this forum.
He wasn't nearly good enough first time round.
He hasn't improved his game in any match I have seen.
He's no longer a promising 19yr old.
All the clubs he's been to in the Superleague have got rid.
For my money, Toronto will move him on .

I remember Peter Small
Re: Jamie Ellis
He'll be a like for like swap for Jamie Ellis then in that case. I only asked a question I couldn't give a monkey's of we don't sign him. Let's be sensible if Jamie does go, what do you want as a third or fourth choice half? We're not going to sign a world beater.stevieblunder wrote: ↑25 Oct 2019, 18:17 Can't believe the

Re: Jamie Ellis
Ryan Brierley is garbage the lads nowhere near super league quality, i mean hes only score 184 tries 131 goals in 199 games on those stats he'll be lucky to get another club in championship and hes way to old now at 27
CLASSY CAS FOREVER
Re: Jamie Ellis
Brierley has found his level at championship and should stay there
Re: Jamie Ellis
Gets a lot of stick does poor old Jamie, but just remember in the 2018 season which was also injury ravaged for us, he was the lead half for most of the season and we finished 3rd. I’d stick with him as a back up half personally. He can do a job and we won’t get anyone better as a back up player unless there is a young kid from the 19s going to burst on the scene. (Which there isn’t)

I agree, we need a halfback coming through.daytona wrote: ↑27 Oct 2019, 08:50 Gets a lot of stick does poor old Jamie, but just remember in the 2018 season which was also injury ravaged for us, he was the lead half for most of the season and we finished 3rd. Re: Jamie Ellis
We have had half backs come through the club over the years, Brierly, Reynolds, McLelland are a couple that come to mind, but unfortunately, the lack of a reserves and strong competition, meant they had to look elsewhere.mart0042 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2019, 11:13I agree, we need a halfback coming through.daytona wrote: ↑27 Oct 2019, 08:50 Gets a lot of stick does poor old Jamie, but just remember in the 2018 season which was also injury ravaged for us, he was the lead half for most of the season and we finished 3rd. Re: Jamie Ellis
And they've not been good enough. None of them would be our 3rd choice at the moment.heritage1926 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2019, 11:27We have had half backs come through the club over the years, Brierly, Reynolds, McLelland are a couple that come to mind, but unfortunately, the lack of a reserves and strong competition, meant they had to look elsewhere.mart0042 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2019, 11:13I agree, we need a halfback coming through.daytona wrote: ↑27 Oct 2019, 08:50 Gets a lot of stick does poor old Jamie, but just remember in the 2018 season which was also injury ravaged for us, he was the lead half for most of the season and we finished 3rd. Re: Jamie Ellis
A lack of reserve grade rugby killed Reynold's and McLelland's chances with us, they had to be ready after the 18's season finished and neither were. Brierly was always the top performer for our academy back in the day, the one everyone used to rave about, but never got the chance to go any further with it, not many would of got an opportunity with Rangi in the side.mart0042 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2019, 14:16And they've not been good enough. Hopefully now the reserves are back, a few more half backs come through over the years. something tells me Trueman will be in a Wigan shirt in a few years time.
