well Mr Shaw, perhaps you should do some in depth journalistic investigation rather than scanning the Castigers Forum?

McShane's been playing jabbed up for some months and been in pain every week. A bit of a rest and a good pre season should see him back hitting to hitting the standards he sets for himself week in week out. When he's out of form and not ticking, you find the rest of the team are the same.

i thought he may have been playing injured, but if so why hasnt it been mentioned in the "injury update" as it doesnt seem fair to macca if people think hes just not been playing well as opposed to playing injured?

As he didn’t actually end up not playing I don’t think we would want to highlight to the opposition that he was carrying an injury. Only my opinion though

Edit - just seen there has been a recent update so apologies if you are talking about the latest update

Isn’t that because the rumour, on here anyway, was that Dan was going to Toulouse??

It'll be interesting who they go for. Luke would have gone well over here.

There seems to be some feeling that Leeds will sign Cameron King from Fev. Not sure how they would get him on the quota since they want another Aussie prop.

Albert is exempt so him leaving wouldn’t make a difference and if they want a forward to replace Merrin then that’s like for like. Maybe Cuthbertson or Peteru will go out on loan for the year. Toronto may take a punt on the former, especially since McDermott knows him.

Wouldn't surprise me if Merrin ends up like Hampshire ...not able to get a deal in Nrl in his case and have to get on a plane and ahead back to Headingley to play

Intersting article. No overseas spots available unless Merrin goes. So they'll have to lose their best player to bring someone in and they've only got one hooker. Also player upgraded contracts.

I'd they start poorly, they have no wriggle room.

Mcshane is surely interesting them based on cap exemption allowance alone.
