Paul Mcshane
Re: Paul Mcshane
Doubt this very much. I expect Cameron King to be Leeds hooker next year.

Having Leeds' pants down twice in one off-season would be pretty spectacular.

Re: Paul Mcshane
Wouldnt be too fussed if this happened, McShane has been great in the past however this season his silly decisions this season have cost us 2nd place in the table.

Re: Paul Mcshane
IF true, which I hope isn't, I'm a big fan of Paul, then step on down Jaques O'Neill.
Re: Paul Mcshane
We've got O'Neil and milner to cover hooker if mcshane leaves... Use his money else where. If indeed it's true.

Re: Paul Mcshane
This, use Milner and O'Neil and at fullback use Rankin and Turner. If true about Richardson and we can retain him Trueman, O'Neil and Turner we'll have the spine of the team set for years to come. Use this season coming as a rebuilding one.

And all of our problems are solved In the spinal region ?
Re: Paul Mcshane
Well we'll never know if we don't try. A team needs to be built around our pivots.Mysterio wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 16:01And all of our problems are solved In the spinal region ?

You're 1, 6, 7 and 9 are the spine of a team, if you have a good spine it doesn't matter what team you put around them. Salford have shown that this year.

Re: Paul Mcshane
Not to bit pick, but traditionally the spine of the team is 1, 6, 9, 13.
You could argue that the game has changed in recent years.
A team with a great 13, generally had most of the other 3.
Look back to the great teams of the past.
Most people can name the number 13 in the team.

Re: Paul Mcshane
And we were in fact the opposite of Salford the spine was where we were weakest no 1 improved when Rankin went there and no blame at his age on Trueman any good half back play we had during the season was almost all down to him

It used to be about 10 years ago, a loose forward was a back in a forwards body. Your likes of an Andy Farrell or a Paul Sculthorpe.stevieblunder wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 17:29 Not to bit pick, but traditionally the spine of the team is 1, 6, 9, 13.

I'd struggle to name many players like that nowadays 13 is just a extra prop

Just my theory, but, hear me out. Macca has had a drastic drop in form this year, AND, made a serious error at Leeds costing us dearly, if memory serves right he's done it a couple of times too. We know he's big mates with gale, loss of form, poor decisions and, maybe, a fall out with Daryl due to one or more of these things could see him being sold and Kyle Wood being brought in.

Re: Paul Mcshane
I strongly believe he was putting his hand up when not fit. That man bleeds rugby league and as his form improved in the last third of the season so did our results
With a young half back combination, his experience and leadership are going to be vital. I hope he goes nowhere

Re: Paul Mcshane
its all ifs and buts IF he as decided ala Gale he would prefer to be at leeds were far better getting money and letting him gobane73 wrote: ↑11 Oct 2019, 09:13 Just my theory, but, hear me out. Re: Paul Mcshane
I think if this rumour is true we will be fighting relegation next yr. Losing are best half back by miles and getting a replacement of the standards of Richardson is very poor. If all this club is interested in is selling are best players keeping the money because all there doing is getting players in that are no where near the standard of the players that are leaving. Still think getting rankin for next yr is a massive mistake he is useless cheap option once again. All that's going to happen to this club is go backwards. It as bin ever since Zak left
