Well I'm sure if he's gone to Wells and said I want to leave, he'll be gone.

Re: Paul Mcshane
There were always going to be rumours, as I said on the Luke Gale thread.
As soon as McShane came out and said he was gutted Gale was leaving, you got the feeling it might just happen.
Leeds have announced today that they are not keeping Shaun Lunt, leaving them with only Brad Dwyer. They will no doubt want to recruit another hooker.
Wells’ stupid statement that we won’t stand in the way of players who want to play elsewhere just played into the hands of our rivals.
Not saying whether it’s true or not as most rumours come to nothing, but it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

i said on the luke gale thread that with luke leaving, which the players would have known about it for ages was this the reason macca was nowhere near his best & is this the start of a team break up?

Re: Paul Mcshane
No doubt McShane on his day is a very decent hooker, however for a fee i wouldnt be bothered if he left, certainly on this season's performance
Re: Paul Mcshane
Didn't look interested in some games last season the lack of zip we had at marker led to a lot of the sluggish play
No doubt at his best can run a game like he did in 2017 up to the final where he was poor
Wouldn't bother me if he left I thought we looked better with Milner at 9 use Oniell to spell him or bring someone else in next season

We will take the money, and keep it. At this rate we will have no good players at all.

Re: Paul Mcshane
Leeds fans seem to think they are signing Isaac luke looking at their forum. If they do sign him and Gale stays fit they will be back near the top next season.
Re: Paul Mcshane
And Sam Burgess as well ...
Powells built re-built teams before and this team needed re-building my money would be on him to do it successfully

Thing is if McShane goes there’s nothing out there to replace him with.
Re: Paul Mcshane
Part of me actually hopes Daryl does rebuild the team, and some go.
Maybe that’s why oli was crying.

Re: Paul Mcshane
If he wants to go let him get on with it, don't want any player at the club who doesn't want to be here. Be a nice sum coming our way if true, isn't he contracted to 2022 or something like that?

Re: Paul Mcshane
If you had posted that this time last year, or the year before I would have been devastated. But now, meh didn't really step up this season and made some very bad decisions/ kicks at times. Feel like we need a rebuild anyway. If we can get a new 7/9 to freshen things up a bit with Rankin having a full pre season at 1, then could work out well. Just hope the money we get from any sales are reinvested well.

Sam burgess. Will be lucky. News from nrl. Com is that he may be forece to retire early because of a chronic shoulder injury. Silly season has started early again I see

Re: Paul Mcshane
McShane has been great for us but if he goes I’d feel similar about him as I do about Gale. Both of them have their best days behind them. Gale has had practically two years out, while McShane appears on the slide if last season’s performances are anything to go by.

Re: Paul Mcshane
I thought he was picking up towards the end and suspect he was playing when half fit
The Hull game near the end of the season was in the balance until he put in an awesome tackle at speed to bundle their player into touch
Not quite Evalds on Rankin but still a potential game changer.
I think that his experience could be vital to bringing on our young half back partnership.
The man lives and breaths rugby league.
I would hate to lose him.

Can’t see this happening myself, not many great replacements out there either if it did happen.
