Re: Cas tigers Ladies
Cas Vs Leeds. Should of played it at Fev or Wakefield. Would of made for a much better crowd.

Cas v Leeds on a Friday night in St Helens. **** me, even the RFL should be able to work out that a change of venue would benefit everyone.

The game isn't run for the fans it's for the men in suits with their free meals and such stuff the fans. Should be moved. ](*,)

Why can’t it be moved to headingley or somewhere closer. Heaven forbid local kids get enthused by two local teams competing for silverware.

The RFL may be contractually obliged to hold it at the venue they signed up for months ago?derbystiger wrote: ↑06 Oct 2019, 23:26 Cas v Leeds on a Friday night in St Helens. **** me, even the RFL should be able to work out that a change of venue would benefit everyone.
Fev Rovers may have been a more suitbale location and they do hold many games at PO Road for the amatuer game.
Spreading the Cas gene pool
Re: Cas tigers Ladies
The RFL have released a statement today to confirm it won’t be moved as tickets and corporate hospitality have already been sold.

Re: Cas tigers Ladies
I hope the club strongly protest this ahead of next season so that next year we have finals closer in the middle.
It's unfair for our fans to have to travel down the M62 on a Friday night to see this game when they could get 2,000+ here in Yorkshire.

Re: Cas tigers Ladies
It just sums up the total incompetence of those running the game. Two venues could have been pencilled in with the venue confirmed once the finalists were confirmed.

Here's a thought for the RFL, why not have a double header at OT?

Now the issue there is that ‘thought and RFL’ don’t go together. They don’t think.Flat Capper wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 12:18 Here's a thought for the RFL, why not have a double header at OT?

The same reason our grounds man won't let others play before the first team, to keep the pitch intact. I can't imagine the RFL will want to showcase the final with the field chewed up from a previous game.derbystiger wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 12:32Now the issue there is that ‘thought and RFL’ don’t go together. Re: Cas tigers Ladies
Sorry, I don’t buy that one. How many ‘curtain raisers’ have been played over the years, including at Wembley? Plus, the triple header for the cup, double header international at Coventry etc...heritage1926 wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 12:49The same reason our grounds man won't let others play before the first team, to keep the pitch intact. Re: Cas tigers Ladies
Not sure, not my forte, however, I know Stuart doesn't like academy/women/kids teams playing on the pitch before a first team game, especially if the weathers bad. How other stadiums/grounds man handle the workload when multiple teams are playing then I'm not sure. The Fox wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 13:02How do they manage at Magic Weekend then??heritage1926 wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 12:49The same reason our grounds man won't let others play before the first team, to keep the pitch intact. Setting off 4:30. Hope we get there for half time.
