Two legends of the sport will take part in the first Physical Disability Rugby League match to be played ahead of Betfred Super League Grand Final.

Wakefield Trinity’s players will line up alongside Kangaroos star Paul Gallen, the ex-Cronulla Sharks and New South Wales captain, while Castleford Tigers will have the honour of playing alongside a former England, Great Britain and club legend, Dean Sampson, who made more than 400 appearances for them during a career that spanned three decades.

They still play the pdrl game beforehand.

None of the PDRL team are current first team players so its not an issue.

I'm not sure if they do/are. While some celebrities like Adam Hills are, I think it's mostly a case of getting people to be a part of it to promote this as a growing and inclusive area of the sport, as well as give the people playing a chance to enjoy the game with big name players.
