Given his performance on Saturday against Melbourne i fear he will be out of most clubs reach over here now. Think Canberra will be disappointed in Sezer's replacement don't see Williams as a good fit at half back with Wighton personally.

Reason why hes having to leave raiders is due to the salary cap issues and i dont think another a nrl team can get him on there caps either as they all have half backs in place.if cas want to be in finals this is the kind of player who i think could take us there

I said on the Gale thread that if we lost Gale and gained Sezer, it would be a very good deal.
It’s not impossible. Gale will be on a very good salary already. If we get a transfer fee for him we can also put that towards paying Sezer a bit more than we paid Gale (salary cap permitting).

I think it’s based on a bit of calculated assumption.
He was in talks with Huddersfield, so has shown that’s he’s open to a move to SL.
Canberra have signed Williams and I can’t see them running with three expensive half backs.
Other NRL clubs seem to be either at the top end of the cap, or have established halves and don’t need another.
The only obstacle might be that Powell has always said he doesn’t want a marquee player, so we’d need to be able to fit him under the normal cap if that continues.

I would imagine all NRL players/agents use SL as a bargaining chip, particularly with the marquee rule.

I’ve seen zero other than on here mentioning him or even linking him to us. Everyone has said Gale is staying at Cas (other than on here).

It may be that we are talking to him for 2021 if we can’t get Gale signed up to a new deal, however. Sezer is off contract himself and we will have quota spots available.

Well apparently he dosnt count on the quota spot because he has turkish background therefor wouldnt count as an aussi quota.the raiders seem to have a nack of letting aussies go who want to much money for english players who wouldnt be on as much money to save on their salary cap.

But he would count as a “non fed trained player”. Clubs can have up to 7, of which we currently have:
Rankin
Moors
JSL
Millington
Mata’utia
Blair
Feki (from 2020)

https://www.zerotackle.com/rugby-league ... d-players/ - Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad his Canberra team mate is on $330k, Sezer isn't on the list so an educated guess is he's on below that figure.

If hes on less than $330k then we should be able to offer him what gales on,money wise and not really be out of pocket and he should be on simular to what hes on in the nrl.watched sezer in the finals against the storm and he controlled that game from start to finnish, definatley an asset to which ever team he goes to

He's clearly on less than $330k otherwise he'd be on that list.

Pretty much agree with that, but had Sezer been putting in those performances consistently they wouldn't have been looking at William's in the first place. That said Sezer would be an improvement to our squad would I swap a fully fit Gale for him.....no.

Andrew Johns was saying the other day that Brisbane should sign Sezer. Had many good things to say about him. As did Brad Fittler.
He’s a top level half back. I’d be delighted if we signed him.

Agree with duke street.
Wighton and Willian’s are very similar indeed. Both runners.
