Good time to play them, got to be the most out of form team to play.

Nothing to lose now.

5th is credible considering the injury list this year

Tough gig though....

It's a great time to play Wire. Superb result to finish fifth considering all the injuries.

Certainly winnable especially with them being out of form

Winnable game but give me strength Thursday night for the team furthest to travel. Only two TV games this should have been avoided.

if you were going to pick a team to play Warrington is the one most of us would have picked , our form at the present time is not good but i should say theirs is worse , a number of our forwards will be missing next week my worry is who we can bring in, how about putting Ellis in the forwards he is bigger than most of them and bringing Ashton back

I will head to Wilderspool in hope rather than expectation. The pressure will be all on them.

Happy that we made the 5 and you just never know.....

Ironically it’s our shortest away journey!
On a serious note don’t they usually do these fixtures the other way round to give the highest placedcteam the longest rest?

Don't think we can or will create enough chances to win,we look pretty blunt in attack especially with Mr Ellis at halfback.

Also all Warrington will need to do is take a leaf out of Wigan's book and make it a aggressive, niggly game and our pack folds like a pack of cards. Oh to have a Hartley,Reilly,Ward or Sampson playing for us now!

So moribund that we beat 10 of the 11 other teams in the league at least once, kept the one we didn’t beat to one score at their place, had the 4th best defence and 6th best attack and made the playoffs despite a shocking injury list which made key players unavailable, for huge parts of the season (and all in some cases), including the captain and finishing in the top in the top 6 for something like the 6th straight season, which I think is unprecedented for the club ( happy to be proved wrong)
Oh and our season isn’t even finished yet!
Anyway let’s not let facts get in the way.

I think there is a distinct advantage to finishing 4/5th, in that you are always playing losing teams until OT.
In our case (more by luck), next week we’ll be playing a team who lost last week.
If we win, we’d be playing the losers of Wigan v Salford.
If we win that, we’d be playing the losers of Saints v Wigan/Salford.
The first time we would face a team who had won their last game is in the Grand Final.
There’s a lot to be said for momentum in sport. Get a win on Friday and we’ll be playing teams who have lost momentum just as we are building it.

At times Saints, Wigan and Wire have been guilty of thinking that all they have to do to win is turn up and they have been caught out. (London v Saints was a prime example).

The worst thing we can do is to go with the attitude that we are going to lose. If Wire think we are going to be easy they may be in for a shock.

Let's hope so.

Interesting perspective on it and valid given the historical results in the play offs, obviously a tough ask but after this season and all its trials and tribulations there are seven other teams who would give their high teeth to be in our position, while you're in it you've got a chance and more importantly from a completely selfish point of view I can get there to cheer them on,miracles happen and there's a direct train from Thetford to Warrington which even allows time for a pie and a pint before kick off,the gods are smiling down, just hoping miracles come in Pairs.

Interesting perspective and a position we were in in1999 when we went to the fourth and third placed teams and won against expectations. So who knows?
