Think it means awoke to social awareness of things but not 100%

Isn’t it what you do after a sleep or nap?

I’ve seen it used a few times.
Can’t for the life of me think what it means.

This but it's use is now more of a slang term by those that see social awareness as weak, similar to the 'snowflake' term for those that have become 'awake' to the social issues that don't actually exist (in their opinion).

Found this:

Woke is a slang term that is easing into the mainstream from some varieties of a dialect called African American Vernacular English (sometimes called AAVE). In AAVE, awake is often rendered as woke, as in, “I was sleeping, but now I'm woke.” 'Woke' is increasingly used as a byword for social awareness.

Can this also mean that those that look a a little shakey can appear to recover fairly quickly within the few minutes a doctor will look at them on the pitch - I don't know.

Ultimately, player welfare has to come first.
all players are asked a series of question before the season starts (mostly about personal details i think) and asked them again as part of the HIA. they should in theory give the same answers if not concussed. jesse says he got the answers wrong the first time round lol

I'm not doctor, but looking from the outside in, his career could be in some jeopardy, a bit like Stevie Wards.

"The first heavy bike session I did I got symptoms back straight away. I had a migraine + blurred vision so we had to dial it back again." Good luck who'll be out for longer than initial 4-week concussion stand-down period.
