Rumours have him joining West Tigers within the next week. No ideal for Wigan if true.

Was always going to happen eventually, made his intentions clear that he wanted to go back there.

Always the risk you take signing players like Hastings and French.

Got to laugh.
Just been reading twitter.
Wigan fans are now saying they should go out and get either trueman or sezer.
Wouldn’t surprise me.

Hasn’t Trueman already signed for Warrington though?

To be honest, I think they signed Field because they were expecting to lose one of French or Hastings. He'll just step into the halves if Hastings goes.
They've got young Harry Smith too, who looked good towards the end of last year.

They will be struggling now if hastings goes with field getting an injury last night and french already injured. I dont think leuluai n smith will be good enough. Wigan also struggling for wingers with manfredi and marshall out injured.

Leuluai could be looking at a ban as well for the cannon ball tackle he did last night. It seems with Hastings everything is about him all the time with the circus that follows him about continuously. Bit like Rangi when he was with us. The constant is he staying is he going stuff is very unsettling for the team

Yep. I think French is due back pretty soon, but Field doesn’t look like he will be.

Is Hastings even that good decent enough player I wouldn't go much farther than that

Field out for 6 weeks, torn hamstring.
French apparently lands back here this weekend.

Apparently not gone down well with the rest of the Wigan squad that they’ve been doing a tough pre-season whilst French and Hastings have been allowed to stay in Aus literally until the week the season starts.
Always dangerous when you treat some players differently to the rest of the squad.

Can’t understand why they’ve had special privileges. They’ve had months in oz.
They know they are employed in the UK.
That were their job is.
They should IMO abide by what the other players have had to do. Start pre season the date club have set.
Being blue eyed boys won’t go down well with the rest of the squad.

I think the honest answer is that Wigan are so worried they’ll lose French and Hastings that they allow them to dictate when they are going to return to the U.K.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a club allowing players to miss the entire pre-season.
Can’t blame the other players in the squad for feeling a bit peeved.

All the other Aussies managed to get over on time.

I wouldnt like it if we had blokes like Hastings and Falou trying there best to get a deal in Australia and only coming back as a last option
I saw in one of the Australian papers yesterday the Roosters were after Josh Reynolds see how long he stays at Hull if they come a calling
