There is much talk of a full scientific study of head injuries across many sports but is it also time for the RFL to undertake a comprehensive study of all injuries.
I've always said that evolution is a slow beast and whilst it may be possible to increase muscle size and strength, the bones and the ligaments that join the two remain developing at the rate of evolution. The results are the extra weight and increased collision speed borne by the skeletal structures of the body that cannot necessarily be strengthened any quicker than through time alone.
