Leaves Fartown with immediate effect.... Potentially Championship bound.

Before I get lambasted - I know Tom no longer plays for us & that this thread should be in the Anything RL section type thing...

In 2017 it didn’t look like he’d be anywhere near getting in front of Gale or Roberts. I thought he’d made the right decision to move on and gain experience.
With hindsight, if he had stayed then he might have got a good number of games in 2018 and 2019 given the injuries and other issue we had.

I remember the boxing day friendly when Featherstone beat us he rang rings round our two half backs that day
He never seemed to get going at Huddersfield when he went there

Arrived recovering from a serious injury and, as a result, behind the halves they had at the time. Went back on loan to Featherstone and in that time Ollie Russell went well when called on by Huddersfield, so he became 4th choice half back.
Now they have Sezer, Cogger, Gaskell, Russell and Holmes. He’s just not going to get a game.
Jut shows how difficult it is for young halves to establish themselves, even at mid-table clubs.

He's quality back up but do we need that in the halves?

Simply unacceptable. Provincial sloppiness.

Yes, mate, there may be more than a few who may point out that it may be just a bit too partisan.
Gale, Hardaker and the like should be consigned to 'Owt Else' section?
McMeeken has only been gone for 10 minutes, is he a 'yesterday man' too?

Did he only leave them because of the full-time deal with Hudds?

I wish Tom all the best whatever he does having watched him come through our academy I always thought he would make it in the super league, Toms family are CAS fans maybe someday we will see him once again in a CAS shirt
