If true, would probably end any hope we might have had of signing Ikahihifo.

Re: Ian Watson
Can’t see it myself. Hastings is playing at a club already challenging for finals. Why would he move to Huddersfield, even if Watson is the coach.
If Hastings goes anywhere, it will be back to Australia.

Can’t see him playing second fiddle to jai field and Thomas leuluai.
Yes rumour as it leuluai is leaving, but I think he’ll do another year.

Re: Ian Watson
Loyalty doesn't pay bills.
He has done an amazing job at Salford on a shoestring and would be expected to do so again next season.
If someone say FC have offered him a better contract at a bigger more prestigious and successful club why would he not take it.
What happened to Radford should be a lesson however, contracts are not absolute.
Cat amongst the pigeons.
Hull buy out Darryl's contract.
We buy out Watsons and the Fultons pocket the difference.
No proof or even a whisper or rumour from anywhere just agent provocateur.
Night everyone.

Re: Ian Watson
Strange move for Watson if I was a Salford fan I could have accepted him moving to Wire Saints or Wigan even Hull but after what he said on sky about staying at Salford a couple of weeks ago I'd be a bit sour if he ends up at Giants

Re: Ian Watson
That’s true, but Hastings is a better player than Leuluai and Field. I doubt he’d be the one not selected. I still think he’ll leave, though.old cas lass wrote: ↑09 Nov 2020, 22:393 into 2 don’t go.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑09 Nov 2020, 22:33Can’t see it myself. Re: Ian Watson
Perhaps Hudds have told him he can mold his own team and support staff, including Hastings, but Hull wanted to keep Last and most of their players?
Who knows really but he's made his bed and he's got to lie in it. You choose your leaders and place your trust...

Re: Ian Watson
Surprising there is no instant announcement from Giants (if true) after the release.
Perhaps he is going somewhere else but waiting until their season is officially over to announce. Add another week then!!

Could be a rare thing in sport, allowing Luke Robinson the respect of the season being completely over?

Re: Ian Watson
At least Salford have a top coach in Rowley ready to take over, their fortunes seem to have improved since he as been at the club.

Re: Ian Watson
I’m not convinced he’s off to Huddersfield, surely they would have announced it. The only reason to hold off announcing is if the club are still involved in the play offs. Hastings re-signed at Wigan, Lam no contract sorted yet - did Hastings sign knowing his mate ‘Watto’ was coming? Price doesn’t look safe at Warrington, maybe he’s off there? Also, is Hull dead in the water for him or not? Something weird in the whole situation with how quick he seemingly ‘upped and left’. I still think there’s a twist in this one yet.
