Re: Wakefield trinity
When asked if any of the cups had been taken Carter replied that thieves never gained access to the canteen.
I thank you

From the photos I’ve seen it looks like the shed/bar at the rear of the Northstand, not sure if they even have spirits in there, I think it’s bitter, lager and dark fruit cider.Flat Capper wrote: ↑09 Jul 2020, 11:04 There may have been plenty of spirits behind the bar but I can't imagine there'd be much else and certainly shouldn't be any cash.

There's a tent round corner selling homebrew. A bit strong but my petrol mower ran for 8 months on half a pint.

About three seasons mate, if you’re not wearing colours you’d be fine getting a drink, as you well know we do have segregation, something I don’t agree with but there we go. I do however understand why we do it, aggression unfortunately has crept into the stands at RL matches, we always (probably ten years since) used to stand in the WR end stand to have a bit of banter but wouldn’t risk it these days which is a shame.lurcher wrote: ↑11 Jul 2020, 00:18we aren't encouraged to frequent the north stand jinj mate, but even when we did i didn't know there was a bar there. is it a recent addition?JIN JER wrote: ↑10 Jul 2020, 12:09From the photos I’ve seen it looks like the shed/bar at the rear of the Northstand, not sure if they even have spirits in there, I think it’s bitter, lager and dark fruit cider.Flat Capper wrote: ↑09 Jul 2020, 11:04 There may have been plenty of spirits behind the bar but I can't imagine there'd be much else and certainly shouldn't be any cash.

Re: Wakefield trinity
daily mirror article seems to be a wakey senior player is calling for a strike over the proposed wage cuts. seem to remember a statement from MC saying they would lose on average between 10% and 15% this year. he doesn't seem like the type of bloke to back down so if they do strike i think it would be a big mistake.

On a serious note, the damage along is bad enough and totally pointless.

Very surprised if that’s correct

I don't understand the thoughts of people in the game Wakefield players may well be unhappy like the firm says but to call for a strike when it would finish the game is ridiculouslurcher wrote: ↑12 Jul 2020, 22:28 daily mirror article seems to be a wakey senior player is calling for a strike over the proposed wage cuts. seem to remember a statement from MC saying they would lose on average between 10% and 15% this year. he doesn't seem like the type of bloke to back down so if they do strike i think it would be a big mistake.
Hethrington at Leeds moaning about having to play in France with them having some fans in giving them a advantage it's crazy stuff and it will carry on for certain until the RL and Super league sort it out

Re: Wakefield trinity
Such a tough situation for people & I can see both sides of the argument. Personally, I would always support a workers right to strike, but I question whether it’s the right course of action here as I don’t see how it could bring about a happy resolution, unless the club(s) in question have more money than they’re letting on.
It’s really sad that people find themselves in this position (sports people or otherwise) & I just hope everyone comes through it unscathed, though I suspect it’s going to get worse over the next few years for many.

Would you work for a pay cut on a agreed contract in a short career that can be ended by one knock. Of course you wouldn’t.
I’m sick of employers riding roughshod over staff. This isn’t a rugby league gripe it’s a gripe about the current situation, they took easy option of furlough as soon as they could. Were the finances of some of the business/clubs that bad that they needed a crutch?!?
I’m in favour of the players strike. It’s been a long time coming. They added 4 games on and magic but didn’t increase wages for them.
It’s time the players stuck 2 fingers up to the RFL and Sky.
