I appreciate the details will probably have to remain confidential but it does raise suspiscion of both Thaler and the RFL.

Glad he's been cleared but hope the RFL do things better in the future.

This doesn't mean Ben's not guilty it just means the RFL cant prove it 😂

Not really. Plenty of people are guilty of things in life but get away with it.

Glad he will be back though. When of the better refs

Can’t really be bothered with this. Not guilty means that on the evidence the person has not been found guilty of what they were accused of. So on the evidence he’s not guilty even if there’s further evidence out there that would have proved that he did it. That how the English legal system works.

You can still be guilty of something even if found not guilty though is all I'm saying.
I egged an house when I was a kid and the man dragged me to the police station. I told the police it wasn't me and I was walking passed some lads who did it. They let me go. Couldn't prove it. But I did it.

So what about the subject of this thread Ben Thaler then, what’s the verdict on him? No smoke without fire?

I don't know the details, but I would hate to be in a media rich environment dealing with things like this - you can't win:
Don't declare someone is suspended - cover up.
Suspend and they're guilty - always a wrong- un, took too long to act, we always knew.
Suspend and not guilty - no smoke without fire.

Simply cannot win.

Thank you. I nearly didn’t bother reading this. Ben Thaler had his livelihood and reputation put on the line was found not to have done anything wrong. Despite no one knowing what he was accused of the little comments start coming to hint that the verdict doesn’t really prove anything.
He was not proved to have done anything wrong . End of.

As with criminal cases, someone can make an accusation and that has to be investigated, evidence obtained and so on. If the investigation reveals nothing then the accused are not proved guilty of anything and life continues.

Nothing to see here, move along...
