Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap
For years us and a few other clubs spent less than the salary cap and managed to maintain a squad fairly capable of competing. Just don't understand how the owners / Noble / McDermott managed to assemble such a poor squad other than their star signing and struggle to stay under the cap with so little players.
More disappointing that they replaced London who had a good run at it last year. Would have liked to see them build on another season in SL under Danny Ward. I'm sure they'd have been more entertaining and got stuck in.

Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap
Just over twelve thousand for tonights game.
The novelty of SBW has passed.
It's great to watch your team get a resounding victory but pay on the day spectators are less likely to part with their brass to whst looks like a a training exercise.
It could mean not only next to no away support, bjt also he fans staying at home especially if it's on TV.
They also bring out the worst from the microphone muppets.
Could we try any harder to make our fine sport to alienate potential speccies

Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap
i know this is a toronto thread and boy were they garbage in defence. but does ant one else think the leeds celebrations are a bit stage managed? they celebrate every score as if they have won the league almost as if they have been instructed to do it to try and bring a feelgood factor.

Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap
At the moment this is the best they have been for several seasons. When not only have. they lost the have played badly.
For quite a while it apprested as things were not quite right so perhaps this is a nod to the fans that they are bringing back the good times.
The problem last night they had a lot of opportunity to practice said celebrations.

Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap
This is getting embarrassing now, Toronto surely the worst team in the Super League era.
Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap
If they don't pull their socks up they'll be history. It's becoming a joke and do they honestly think people will be jetting of to Canada in this current situation. I think not. Anyway good look to them but my honest opinion it ain't going to work.

Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap
I think once they get that first win on the board they'll relax a bit
Plus the home game factor will probably get them some wins too
