Not quite true. A converted try would only have tied the scores at 6-6 but I agree with the sentiment

SWISS TONY!! wrote: 07 Nov 2019, 07:16 Is this the same DP that plays a centre at half back and a half back at full back and a hooker at 13? Hahaha
Yes that's him, he doesn't have a massive pool of players though and is salary capped.

I get your point though, do you think Bennett could get Cas in a better position over the last 4 years with the cap and our funds?

Bennett has a massive pool of players to pick from but still picks the same 13 players inform out of form the same names get picked every time . This tour has been a total embarrassment his team selection has been beyond ridiculous and there’s no excuse. The rugby league need to get and English based coach in charge if we are to be successful onthe international scene.. Brian Carneys article on sky sports is well worth a read he is spot on with his opinions

This series has to be the last one under Bennett.

Anybody else watching this tripe served up by our lot?

The players and especially the coach have killed a once proud badge. There is a wonderful piece on the bbc website about the 1948 Lions tour and what they went trough to get to Australia....and now watching this performance this morning is soul destroying.

What a damp squib of a tour this has turned out to be, not helped by scheduling matches against the main event the Rugby World Cup compounded by our inept performance.

Absolute sham of a tour. The only pleasing aspect I take out of this, is that Bennetts contract is up at the end of the year. There are 3 Englishmen waiting in the wings to take over.

Shaun Wane next coach for me, as much as i dont like him i think he will pick a team out of inform players and get them playing with pride for each other.

I thought Bennett was on a rolling contract therefore can be sacked at any point.. the sooner the better I say. Let’s the pride back into playing for our country

I agree Benett should stand aside now and Wane be given the job to keep starting Hodgson is daft I don't think I've ever seen a more over rated player but I think he expects his half backs to at least be able to time a pass and his players not to continually make mistakes who ever would have been coaching that shower the results would have been the same

absolute rubbish. i watch him and wonder if he's ever had any coaching. watch him at dummy half.
he stands upright behind the man who is playing the ball and far too close to him. he waits until the ball has been played before bending down to pick it up, straightening up and taking a few steps before passing to a forward who by now has the opposition in his face. compare this to macca who is crouched ready behind the tackled player and passes straight from the ground which probably saves a whole second.
can't remember many players actually matching their club form and most were 2nd best or went missing.

Who also made more mistakes than any other player, that's how bad we were.

It's got to be DP on a part time basis. Danny and shez can hold the Fort for the odd day he's away.

Wane second choice as he's easily getable but I think the fever people have gone into to get him the job is ill conceived. He plays an unattractive game based on defence and 5 drives and a kick. But he is a motivator, second only to John kear.

Our game thrives on flair. DP and he should have had it 2 seasons ago.

Whoever gets thejob, including the unlikely option of retaining Bennet, there needs to be a clear out of old greats such as Graham, Hill, Hall and Magilvery(?). This tour sould've been used as abulding exercise for the world cup but it's too late now.
