Sadly, we cannot impose such hefty fines as there isn't sufficient money in the game but this pently should force the RFL to re-think it's current penalties and adjust them to a more suitbably threatening penalty.

Teams need to be hit hard with points deductions, the only way this will stop. Melbourne were stripped of titles, points and money. Saracens have just been hit hard, the current English and European Champions are now in a relegation battle.

A 2 point deduction and a suspended fine is quite frankly disgusting. It's actually worth taking that hit as the punishment is so weak.

The biggest disappointment is that it’s not Sale.
Fines mean diddly squat.
It’s to points deduction that’s a deterrent. Whilst ever we have such a weak approach, the clubs will see it as a risk worth taking.
It also highlights the gulf between the two codes. Their cap is £7m. Ours is circa £2m. If you’ve got half a chance of making it pro or the chance to switch codes, it’s a no-brainer.

could easily see them getting relegated no chance the RL would do that to Leeds or Wigan there too corrupt to consider that

I have to admit, when I read the Saracens story, I was embarrassed about the way RL handles breaches in the UK.

The way as previously mentioned Melbourne were handled and others and this absolutely sets a baseline. Granted proportionately imposing to a similar level not £5M, but that sends a message that says if you cheat, you will be impacted in competition, not a crap fine and you will be lucky to avoid relegation.

Only points deductions and losses of titles w works in a salary capped sport. If like a signing ban but with a cap and our injury list, we wouldn't have been able to field a team safely (a lot of reserves aren't physically able)
