Eamonn McManus
Given he has called into question the integrity of Robert Hicks in Fridays programme notes, will he get a fine?

Re: Eamonn McManus
I agree that the decision of the ref not to refer it to the video ref was baffling.
However McManus`s programme notes where ill considered.
The reference to the death threat and manner in which it was dealt with was childish.
Reparative justice was the intention and that implies a measured and reasoned response to the online threat.
As for punishment a fine would be meaningless to a man of his wealth.
He should be asked as to what proof he has or had to make such an accusation.
Did he raise the issue when the officials were announced.
He should acknowledge that his remarks were understandably bias and seek to make amends with a public apology.
It will be a measure of the sports integrity on how the matter is dealt with.
Clubs are punished for the actions of spectators so let's see what happens to a Chairperson.

Agree with all of that. I’ll be stunned if he is sanctioned though.casjunction wrote:I agree that the decision of the ref not to refer it to the video ref was baffling.

Hicks packing in at end of season and who can blame him.
Re: Eamonn McManus
It's made saints look like a team that can't stand to be beaten and to put that stuff in the programme was embarrising and just smacks of sour grapes

I know he’s from Saddleworth but his missus is from Batley. Maybe some truth to it...no wait, OP is from mucky1978 so it’s bound to be completely fabricatedfast hands wrote:Hicks lives in OldhamMucky1978 wrote:Mate at work kids play at Dewsbury moor with Hicks kid and as said it to him.Mucky1978 wrote:Hicks packing in at end of season and who can blame him.

Saints not coming out of this looking good at all, bitter, twisted, sore losers. Hope they don't win anything else this season.

Seen him and his family at Mount Pleasant supporting Batley on a few occasions.Fumper27 wrote:I know he’s from Saddleworth but his missus is from Batley.
