MANLY back-rower Kelepi Tanginoa has signed with English club Wakefield and will fly out to join the Wildcats this week.

The hard-running 25-year-old has been in the Sea Eagles’ 21-man squad for much of this season but only played three games in the opening nine rounds.

Money apart I wonder how. They surely already have the maximum number of non-fed trained players :

Tupou
Miller
Randall
Fifita
Pauli Pauli
Horo
Arona

How do they fit in another?

Maybe it’s not true given it’s not yet on their official web page???

Maybe they will extend Pauil’s loan deal at Salford until the end of the year.
Otherwise it will be a case of constantly deregistering one of them, so they won’t all be able to play at once (as Hull KR tried to do when they signed Willie Mason).

They have Sau who counts at the moment too instead of Pauli.

Reckon Arona may be off as he’s more of a back row and OOC

I assumed that with Arona being out for the season we would de register him but MC has poo pooed that, he's posted that you can't just de register players now, not sure how that works.
Horo is not being offered a new contract for next year so KT might be his replacement for next season. It's just these next six months that need sorting, but that's not my worry. :)

They will just reach an agreement with Horo to leave now like Cas did with Roberts. Good signing again by Trin.

Funny this how horo hasnt been offered another contract because im sure i saw somewhere chester was saying him and danny k was keeping pauli pauli out of the team because they are playing so well...but regarding Kelepi Tanginoa he looks to be a big, agressive, fast prop and certainly looks to be a great pick up by wakey this stage in the season.hed be a player that could do some real damage in sl from what iv seen of him on highlights.him and fifita...bloody good forwards there i think.makes you wounder where the money is coming from with no1 officially leaving yet.surly poor wakey who say they have no money are doing well at siging players mid season.might be having a whip round

My mate whose a Wakefield supporter says that Arona will be deregistered once Tanginoa’s visa comes through as he’s out for the season and wasn’t getting a new deal for 2020

So much for the club sticking by a player while hes out injured.real classy by wakey.i didnt think you could deregister a player that easy mid season.injured or not unless they pay him out like we did roberts

We did the same to Jy Hitchcox last year when we signed Pete Matautia.

Not sure how it works, especially with Arona being OOC this year. I know Hull KR did it a few years ago with Dobson so that they could register Willie Mason but Dobson played the following year.
