Kelepi Tanginoa
Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
My mate whose a Wakefield supporter says that Arona will be deregistered once Tanginoa’s visa comes through as he’s out for the season and wasn’t getting a new deal for 2020

We did the same to Jy Hitchcox last year when we signed Pete Matautia.
Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
Not sure how it works, especially with Arona being OOC this year. I know Hull KR did it a few years ago with Dobson so that they could register Willie Mason but Dobson played the following year.Bolton-tiger wrote:So much for the club sticking by a player while hes out injured.real classy by wakey.i didnt think you could deregister a player that easy mid season.injured or not unless they pay him out like we did roberts

Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
As far as I'm aware aronas deal had an extension in his favour
Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
Just seen that, I wonder how this came about? Have we paid Horo off to make space for Tanginoa? Or did Horo ask to be released so we moved in for Tanginoa?
Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
He didn't want to go until the end of the season. He has received a full payout though so that bit was 'mutual' i suppose but that is it. A good few senior players at Wakey are far from happy about the situation as well and that of Pauli. The first cracks are beginning to show.

Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
Strange stuff. Loan out Pauli because he's not getting a game to bring in a centre as they are short in the backs. Then release a centre to bring in a back rower. Also they have to pay an extra wage after paying off horo.
All this and no money to upgrade the stadium plus the loan debt.
Doesn't make any sense. Good luck to them

Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
We own our ground and have no debt. I would say we are in a great place to do as we want. We needed a fullback after the Zak issue was finally resolved and so moved out a winger for one. They have moved out a back rower for another.tigerfeat wrote:And cas have not done some interesting manouverings shall we say in the comings and goings of players lol

Decent business if you ask me they have basically upgraded horo with sau and upgraded pauli with tanginoa.mart0042 wrote:Strange stuff. Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
We sign Blair and it takes 3 weeks for him to get a visa.
Wakefield sign this guy today and he is playing this weekend.
How did they sort it out with such speed.

Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
We signed Blair when we had Bank Holidays. May have also been kept under wraps for a few weeks too until all paperwork went through?

Re: Kelepi Tanginoa
Maybe because we announced it the minute he signed to shut the fans up and Wakefield waited until they had all their ducks in a row to make the most of the feel good factor that a new signing brings?stuey wrote:We sign Blair and it takes 3 weeks for him to get a visa.
