Exactly, a back line next year of:

Hardaker
Feki
Blair
Mata’utia
Eden
Trueman
Gale

Would see us competing for honours again.

I would have him back without hesitation.

He is the missing piece of the jigsaw for our 2020 squad. Always a high risk player off the field but untouchable on it when his head is in the right place.

I'll leave the moral judgements to others - as a Can fan I say bring him back.

Whether we, or indeed he, likes it or not, rumour will always surround ZH and for the most, it will be absolute tosh.

Still can't see him moving anywhere for the foreseable.

His agent quashed this a couple of weeks ago when when asked in his podcast. He said something similar to "Cas wouldn't pay the sort of money he would want"

Zh thinks he's an international and would want appropriate wages.

Can't see it happening, too much baggage and he destroyed maybe our only chance of winning the big one.

Wigan would demand a transfer fee of at least £100k plus.

1) We surely don't have that
2) He would also command around £120k plus in wages (bonuses included)
3) It would mean we would have paid over £250k alone on transfer fees for him

I just can't see it.

Agree but what's happened to Shenny?

In my opinion, he’s no longer good enough for a starting spot if the above was right. Even with no Hardaker, I’d have Rankin at FB and the rest the same. If the rumours about Eden are true, maybe out Blair of wing and bring Shenton in

Literally no idea how anyone picks Pete at centre over Shenny. We talk about halves and ball and give Blair a break but not Shenny. I would wager in the pre-season bleep, sprints and repeat sprints Shenny is still in the top 5/6 in the squad.

I'd pick him, sure he doesn't pass as much as I would/did, but I hated being tackled.... But with form, ball and fitness, that bloke is a guaranteed start. Defensively as much as for so very very few mistakes and how much when the ball ISNT going his way the amount of effort he drags out of the people around him in the back row.

changed his tale from when it first happened. he originally said powell told his mother over the phone that he had failed his drugs test and his mother went berserk and was screaming upstairs "what have you done"
it was cas's idea for him to go to the lake district and they booked and paid for it.
he just says what he thinks people want to hear, not one ounce of remorse and still just thinking of himself.
