Big loss for Catalan if rumours are true, what a way to treat a club who gave you a life line back into the sport, when nobody else would.

Re: Israel Folau
Good. The sooner he’s out if our game the better as far as I’m concerned.
No sympathy for Catalans - they brought the game so much negative publicity when they signed him and negative publicity brings with it harm to the game as a whole and impacts on sponsorship.
As an individual, it shows him up for what he is.

He's supposed to be a Christian but he treats people like [REMOVED]
That's what got me about Solomona after all we'd done for him he did the dirty on us
Suppose if you a sign a bloke with the history of Folau you can't be surprised at anything he says or does

Only when it suits his extreme views, though.
It’s something he hides behind to excuse his disgusting beliefs, that are not in the slightest bit aligned with Christianity.
I always thought it was a bit strange that such a fundamentalist Christian would work on the Sabbath, but he seemed quite happy to do so. As I say, he’s only a fundamentalist Christian when it suits him.

Re: Israel Folau
This has nothing to do with a religion or belief's it is pure and simple about money and convenience.
I am sure this will be washed up in the media to be a "closer to family, covid, safety and mental health decision........" in reality, he has done purely what is convenient and most profitable for him.

Just thinking same.
Though shenny may not get a lot of game time.

Re: Israel Folau
I'm going to tip Shenny to come back playing well this season :hand:

Re: Israel Folau
St George Illawarra after his signature if the NRL are prepared to sanction it.
Good way to repay Catalan for rescuing his career.
No doubt Catalan will receive some compensation.
Shows Folou is a very principled person.
He previously argued being descriminated because of his religious beliefs.
The only God he is interested in is the one that fills his bank account.

Re: Israel Folau
It would make Catalans look a bit silly if he stays in Australia given theve rubbished every story on him not returning to them...

Re: Israel Folau
Not necessarily. When Catalan released the story of him staying, it was probably true at that moment. Things have obviously moved in since then, so what was fact then, is fiction now.
Bit like when we claimed Daryl Clark hadn’t been sold yet every man and his dog knew the opposite!

Re: Israel Folau
For the lack of sanctions from the rfl and super league, we should have signed him. He was outstanding in a lot of matches I saw and no downside for them at all. Just the player we need and I say that as a player not a man.
For all his crimes, zak is still getting paid a shed load, playing regularly and getting to play in international matches.
We should be ruthless and say playing ability above all other except the clubs rules and ethics.

Re: Israel Folau
Looks like st George don’t want him either.
They’ve ended talks with him.

So where now for him, crawling back to catalans with his tail between his legs.
