It does when you don’t have a first team, you don’t really need to win, and players don’t want to get injured. The only disappointment is that fringe players didn’t sound like they stepped up. Expect a few made DP’s team selection next week a whole lot easier.

You cannot justify that result, i'm sorry and if the players have the "don't really need to win" mentally and are worried about being injured (understandable) then they should not be risking some of the players in the first place. What has that result done for the team, nothing except lower their confidence.HuddsTigers wrote:It does when you don’t have a first team, you don’t really need to win, and players don’t want to get injured. Kept them match fit? Allowed structures to learn from each other and play together?
You can’t read anything into the result tonight and I don’t believe in going OTT or what is a meaningless game. Get a win, great. Lose, means nowt. It’s about as useful as a friendly. Players being rotated left right and centre.
Like I said - a few fringe players had a chance to put them in the shop window and didn’t. That’s the only real negative. If we had got nilled in a must win game then fine but the key thing is attitude next week when we hopefully have a pretty much full squad to pick from.

Means nothing at all in terms of whats going to happen next week unless we've picked up some injuries wether we can go to Wigan and win is another kettle of fish
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

This. In my view you can only criticise the result after we see what happens last week. Presumably Tomkins will be criticising Wane today for crowing about winning all 7 Super 8s games.HuddsTigers wrote:Kept them match fit? Allowed structures to learn from each other and play together?

You don’t even get a hub cap for that!
