well he's gone up in my estimation if that is true      but still not sure that i would want him backlurcher wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 20:57 hers a giggle for you all. the reason he ended up back over here was because he decked sam tompkins after the catalan game. unfortunately the house he was renting in wigan was owned by joel tomkins and he kicked hardaker out for hitting their kid. zac, the gift that keeps on giving.

Re: Hardacre
Oh sorry wasn't aware he'd moved to Pontefract. He'll probably be somewhere round here thenPricey2000 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 18:54Why would zak move back to Pontefract to then sign for saints it’s obvious that he’s signed for a Yorkshire club next yearLeagueLeaders wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 00:43 Is it just me that can really see him going to Saints? If Coote's out I'd expect them looking for an experienced quality fullback. Also Hardacre has said he prefers fullback to centre and he'd definitely have a chance of winning things over there. Only thing that would stop that is if Hardacre wants to stay in Yorkshire or if Saints are planning to give Welsby his chance

Re: Hardacre
We also need a half. If we gave Trueman away we would have no halves, only O'Brien who I wouldn't count as a half anyway. Personally didn't mind the Trueman going rumours as he's not even close to what he was expected to be but at the moment he's not one we want to be letting go imonottinghamtiger wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 12:06 I don’t have any inside info, but Wigan clearly need a half-back for next year.
Hardaker has one year left on his contract at Wigan; Trueman has one year left on his contract at Cas.

Re: Hardacre
I’d argue that since he joined, O’Brien has been better than both Trueman and Richardson.LeagueLeaders wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 18:02We also need a half. Re: Hardacre
Definitely but he's still not a half, or at least as I would define one. We definitely need another that can organise whether we keep Trueman or not. The original plan was that O'Brien be cover and if he's stepping into Richardson's role then Richardson is still to be replaced regardlessnottinghamtiger wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 18:42I’d argue that since he joined, O’Brien has been better than both Trueman and Richardson.LeagueLeaders wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 18:02We also need a half. Re: Hardacre
Bring back Luke Gale. He isn’t perfect and could be prone to injury but behind a decent pack we could do with his organisation.

Wigan and Wakefield are supposed to be after Gale.SpiritOf94 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 12:08 Bring back Luke Gale. He isn’t perfect and could be prone to injury but behind a decent pack we could do with his organisation.

Is he likely to sign for us then?

Re: Hardacre
you're very close here mate.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑04 Aug 2021, 12:23The thing is that his salary is unlikely to reflect his ability.
1. What other options does he have? If he wants to move back to Yorkshire then he’s very limited in terms if his options. Leeds aren’t going to have him back. He’s not Watson’s sort of character, so I can’t see him at Huddersfield. He’s in a very weak negotiating position.
2. His salary will always be influenced by his past misdemeanours. Everyone knows he’s a gamble, so there has to be some kind of ‘pay-off’ for taking it.
I was always very much against re-signing him. But he’d certainly improve the quality of our on-field product. I’d rather watch Zak Hardaker than some of the dross we have put on the field in the last couple of years.

I’ve just had a whisper, Hardacre, 3 yr contract. Source usually reliable….

I haven’t….
DP probably hasn’t either, but he’s off.

Powell did all he could to try and get him to re-sign for Cas up until a few weeks before he headed off to Wigancogito ergo sum wrote: ↑06 Aug 2021, 16:52 Club must have forgiven and maybe even forgotten.

He must be going round telling all and sundry then as my usual source also says it’s a goer. Two years with an option of a third.
