I didn’t say Powell is clueless, fact. However Wigan we’re rabbits in the headlights. We blew it. After 10 minutes Wigan just grew in confidence. The coach says “ we just write that one off” says it all. Even Powell knows we blew that, enough said.

No, Agar has said they're going with Newman and Sutcliffe in the centres next season.
Whilst that’s true, he’s hardly going to say “we are trying to sign Zak Hardaker to play at centre”, is he?

Just like Radford or a director at Cas aren’t going to say “actually, Kris, we have met your contracted player and talked about him moving back to Cas” - because that will land us in trouble for ‘tapping up’ a player under contract.

I’m still torn about whether I’d want him back. He’s certainly not the payer he was before his time out of the game, but he’s still better than most. We already have a top full-back (who I think is better than Hardaker), but he’d be a good option at left centre presuming Shenton retires.
However, he comes with an inherent risk of controversy, screwing up or deciding he can get more money elsewhere. If he leaves Wigan at the end of this year, he’s not got to the end of his contract at any SL club. We can’t assume that if we give him a 3 year deal, for example, that he’ll fulfil it.

It’s an odd one - on the field, I want to see players like Hardaker playing for Cas rather than against us. But off the field, I’d rather not have the circus that comes with him.
thing is notts he seems to have been relatively well behaved at wigan but that may be because he was miles away from ponte.

He hasn't, but Agar has said that Newman, Sutcliffe and throw young Broadbent in to the mix, will be his centres next season.

Thought we'd signed Sutcliffe or so the experts on here seem to say? :-"

Been seen in tap and tackle with joe westerman watching game apparently.
I agree with mucky, what was wrong with Evalds tonight. Looked scared to death of catching the ball. Gave away an easy try cos he let it bounce.
IF hardacker does re sign for us he as to be fullback.

They were both quality kicks which split the two defenders IMO not helped by the bounce. Been very sound under the high ball up to now. Wouldn’t change things on the basis of two kicks in a single game

I did also notice the odd tackle he'd miss or positional error that you don't often see from Hardaker. I'm confident in saying Hardaker is the safer option at the back, especially defensively. Whether I'd take him over Evalds, I'm not sure, but if we do sign him and have the option between the two that's a very good thing

There was time to get to both balls but chose to wait and see. Personally and certainly in dry perfect conditions you never let it bounce.

ZH to Cas definitely has legs. ZH has defo been on the phone personally to LR and stated that he wants to return to Cas. That is an absolute fact. I do not know anymore than that like if it is possible money wise etc.

I`ve heard this morning Hardaker is going to Wakefield on a swap deal for Miller.

I`d have him, but wouldn`t be devastated if he didn`t come, prefer Evalds at FB so would play centre for me.

Doesn't sound right, especially as they haven't a head coach for next year yet. Langi chose not to go after Chester was sacked.

Their new head coach won't want his squad already decided for him. Look at Radford, he's been making decisions since he was announced.
