Re: Hardacre
Given he wants to play fullback and we have Evalds for that him re-signing makes zero sense for either party.

Re: Hardacre
The club are worried about the fans reaction or Zak is ?
Re: Hardacre
I think most of the fans would welcome him back as the team would be better with him in it, but we have more than our share of numptys and they may not welcome him back with open arms, personally I would say get him signed.

All would be forgotten if he returned. Does he strengthen the team/squad ? Yes. No brainer for me, Zak has settled down with his girlfriend now and have a child together.

I was at that game and would take him back. Doubt we would have still won that game even if he played as we was so bad. Not just Zak that did naughty stuff in that 2017 team he was just the one that got caughtstevieblunder wrote: ↑06 Jul 2021, 14:33 Anyone who wants this individual back obviously have very short memories and probably were not at the Grand Final.
Personally, I can't believe we would ever resign him.

I think we were so bad as a result of the trauma of that week and Hardaker's suspension. Everything conspired against us. Even before with Gale's appendix before the semi, it all felt like an uphill battle against fate. After cruising for most of the season, then getting totally boxed out on the big stage by a side who we had dominated over several seasons and completely had the measure of.
I'll never be able to accept that defeat.
But with Hardaker, as much as I felt so let down by him in that, the whole game is bent, as there are so many players across clubs who are equally guilty of similar but never been caught out.
He is a quality player. Difficult decision if he is available and interested coming back.
Question over why though. Lam on way out so unless he is aware of new coach and been told he is not wanted. Or unless there has been another off field issue then I can't see why he could be available.

Re: Hardacre
I understand people saying no, But you’re really cutting your nose to spite your face.
We don’t have any centres knocking on the door from the academy, And that’s one area he has covered with no problem
However his best position is undoubtably fullback. Their aren’t many better than him when he’s fully fit.
The key issue with this for me will be wages. If it’s to be 100k + a year. I’d think we could sign a specialist for cheaper. However. Depending on these demands. You would snap him up on playing ability.
For me if the opportunity arises to sign a player of his quality - You explore it.

Re: Hardacre
The reality is that if he signed everyone would get behind him like they always do. There were strong feelings against Radford just a few weeks ago. Now he’s definitely our next coach, I’m not seeing that.dettoriman wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021, 07:56 I understand people saying no, But you’re really cutting your nose to spite your face.

Same with Hardaker, once he pulls the jersey on again particularly if showing recent form.

Re: Hardacre
Say Zak did sign we would be looking at the strongest back line we’ve had In years.
1 Evalds
2 Faraimo
3 Mamo
4 Hardaker
5 Feki/olpherts

Re: Hardacre
Think the main issue we may have
Zak is a full back - And wants to play full back.
I’ve absolutely no doubt he’s on the move somewhere. And I always say if you get the chance to sign a player of his quality. You do.
Convincing him to play centre should be a fairly simple task. Safe to say we aren’t the only ones who may be interested in him though.

Brad Graham is an out and out centre. With Mamo and Sutcliffe expected, he wont be centre.dettoriman wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021, 07:56 I understand people saying no, But you’re really cutting your nose to spite your face.

I agree it should be e explored but he owes us some of the transfer fee we paid for him.
