Nathan Massey.

Post by old cas lass » 30 Apr 2021, 09:43

A post on twitter.

Leeds rhinos have enquired about Castleford Tigers, Nathan Massey hoping to potentially tie him down to a deal for the 2022 season

The poster is rugby league ITK, if you want to take a look.
Leeds fans not impressed.

All available players or coming out of contract will be on email or database sent to each club. Every team looks at every player, certainly no surprise.

In Masseys case, it would have to be a big offer, as he is due a testimonial anytime. Might be a lot to miss out on changing clubs.

ITK rugby league said Brian McDermott was definitely our next coach so I would take whatever he says with a pinch of salt. He seems he’s a troll that likes to stir the pot on Twitter. By the looks of it if all these rumour are true we will have no players left 😂

He’s just signed up with Craig Harrison and this is his perennial negotiating tactic.

I like Massey but say he’s on 50k now and wants 70k I’d be telling him to go.

If he wants same kind of money I’d be happy for him to stay.

I'd tell anyone in that team wanting an extra 20k on their wages to look elsewhere. The only player you could justify that sort of increase is McShane, who is the MVP of this team.

Anyone who knows the game will realise that players like Massey are invaluable, cas would be stupid to let a grafter like him go.
Where would we find one player to cover his shift as effectively as he does.

Leeds are in the [REMOVED] and they know what they need to steady the ship, that should tell the haters something about Masseys worth.

Massey on his Twitter feed. Talking about his 250 land mark game.

250 NOT OUT 🏏

Lasted only 15 mins due to a head knock😅 but happy to hit this milestone!! Thanks for the all the messages, proud and privileged to have been able to pull this shirt on 250 times, heres to the next 50 😝🐯 #876

Looks like he’s looking forward to another 50 with us.
So we’ll see.

If he's talking about another 50 SL games, it doesn't necessarily have to be about Cas. :-"

It does when he’s made reference to “pulling on this shirt, here’s to the next 50”..😉

Depends on your interpretation. He could mean he's happy to have pulled on the shirt for his 250 games only. ;)

However, give we have got another 20 odd+ games this season, it's probably likely he meant our shirt. :D

Well seen as how Powell thinks the sun shines out of Masseys rear end it wouldn't be a surprise if he went to Warrington with him.

I think when Daryl leaves the only person who will be down lane is the bloke that cuts the grass.
