We can hope the negotiations go well and he chooses to stay at Cas and I'm not particularly worried about his age.

I was told yesterday the football pundit and retired footballer, Micah Richards is younger than Jamie Vardy who is still playing quality football. Age is just a number and it's what they actually do that counts.

If I was in a limited time career and I had a window open up to maximise my earning potential, no matter how happy or otherwise I was, I would probably use it.

I don't blame any player out of contract or with options for hanging their hat on this disruption. We only support Cas, people come and go. Players are paid, Macca has himself suffered at being out of favour and equally not looking good in some systems, the opposite has been true at Cas. I would be looking for assurances if I was him that wasn't about to happen again..... Equally, if we are a professional club, then I would expect this to have been anticipated and everyone should have the experience to manage this, including Radford. There are a few in the current squad I would have expected we have been managing directly in the decision making, not necessarily them being decision makers, but including them in the objectives and the discussions.

I would rather us announce and cut people loose now, than be hamstrung as we have been before letting decisions drift on and we end up cobbling replacements together.

The club have marketing managers who I am sure are well versed in the use of social media for business purposes. They should be able to answer most if not all those allegations. Surely in light of recent events in Football, it is in the best interests of the club to be open and transparent, without the fans what have they got? Not my money !

No club has the capacity (or quite frankly the need) to deny every single baseless rumour that is posted on social media. Rumours have always existed and always will - it's just that social media has given them a bigger platform.
Some will turn out to be true, most will turn out to be untrue.

Someone has deleted it this morning. It shows the IP address of the person who put that he’d gone to Wire. Maybe the Admins on here could compare that with those used by people on here and let us know if it’s “one of us”???

Maybe they got confused and he’s signed a three year deal with us to stay...

Interesting he talks about “15 minutes from where he lives” given he sold his house to someone on here!! Also, still got 18 months on his contract so it’ll take a nice six-figure sum to prise him away.

😄 I don't think we heard enough about that particular real estate deal.

A very strange but equally fascinating thing to post. Who was it again?

T'was me. I was sick of all the rumours and doom and gloom, so wanted to stir the pot a little. Which worked. I had about 10 private messages after.

So, you did it for a bit of attention? How sad that you felt you had to do that for a bit of attention. Hope you’re ok?

Not really. I come on here for a good debate, pick up on any potential news etc. The last few weeks on here have been ridiculous with idol gossip, so thought I'd add to the circus. I suppose we're all a bit sad coming on here behind false names when you think about it :D

That’s good advice OCL. I take the point about us being saddos but the good thing is that it doesn’t take long to identify the wind up merchants and attention seekers who can be blocked or ignored. It’s disappointing when those who are usually worth listening to get pulled down to that level.
