Not made up.
I know he’s not the font of all knowledge.
And I take him with a pinch of salt at times.

Re: Matautia
Possibly got this one right...
Last paragraph of this article says "Warrington have already completed a deal to sign centre Peter Mata'utia, whose contract at Castleford expires at the end of this season. It is also understood the Wolves are close to landing another Tigers player, back-rower Oliver Holmes."

It's by Aaron Bower, and he's not normally too wide of the mark

Re: Matautia
If matautia goes. Would minikin be an up grade on him.
I don’t think so.
But, if we are after minikin looks like matautia may have gone.
Can’t see minikin playing on the left.
So he’d replace matautia.

Disgusting by Powell if Mata'utia and Holmes go to wire with him ...working for one team and at same time getting players to go with him to his new teamsouthporttiger wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 12:52Possibly got this one right...

Re: Matautia
I can understand matautia, but Oli Holmes, I’m pretty shocked he’d wanna go, I had him down as a one club man, with a testimonial coming up.tigerfeat wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 13:25Disgusting by Powell if Mata'utia and Holmes go to wire with him ...working for one team and at same time getting players to go with him to his new teamsouthporttiger wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 12:52Possibly got this one right...

Goes to show powel working against us behind the scenes.
Saying that why wait until May to offer new contracts.
Should have been sorted 2/3 months ago.
Re: Matautia
I think minikin would be an upgrade on shenny with his age but i think we'd need better to replace Mata'utia. King would of been nice but hull kr bound apparently.old cas lass wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 12:55 If matautia goes. Would minikin be an up grade on him.

If I was a Warrington fan I would be starting to get worried by both these signings but especially Mata'utiaold cas lass wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 13:37I can understand matautia, but Oli Holmes, I’m pretty shocked he’d wanna go, I had him down as a one club man, with a testimonial coming up.tigerfeat wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 13:25Disgusting by Powell if Mata'utia and Holmes go to wire with him ...working for one team and at same time getting players to go with him to his new teamsouthporttiger wrote: ↑14 May 2021, 12:52Possibly got this one right...

Re: Matautia
But nothing has actually happened to date in relation to the playing staff to back up the claims being made about Powell.

Re: Matautia
if all the players rumoured to be going to wire (not just from cas) actually land there, warrington will have to ship out at least a dozen.

Took him less than 14 to sort that one out then.
Hardly irreplaceable though and he has a brain fart pretty much every game.
Should be able to easy find a better right centre.
Re: Matautia
Hope this turn out to be true
Re: Matautia
To sign Minikin would be another backward step he is not good enough I hope Radford can sign 2 strong centres and a couple of props, if it means off loading Truman to add extra cash to make these signings would prefer to go this way. One other problem I see is how much leeway will Radford be given in making signings as I could be wrong don’t think any of those silent board members could be of help with recommendations

Re: Matautia
Some players know they are going.
Now I know it shouldn’t make a difference, but if they are in the mind set of not being bothered, and some did tonight, matautia being one of them, it don’t bode well for the season.
If we don’t get a reaction next week then I will seriously worried.

Re: Matautia
I guess every player had the odd poor game.
I do rate Mata’utia, but he needs to be much better than he was tonight.

Re: Matautia
He as one good game in every 4 or 5 matches were he makes brakes and looks a decent player if it wasn't for the Powell connection I'd be amazed if Warrington even gave a thought to sign him
