Few Wakie fans are claiming he is joining us for rest of this season.
Re: Adam tangata
Oh fantastic a Waki reject.
Re: Adam tangata

Re: Adam tangata
Like McShane then (technically)
Re: Adam tangata
They need to get rid of a quota player to sign Andrew Fafita so could be possible.
Signed for Halifax by all accounts.

Re: Adam tangata
I used to love Johny when he played for St.George unfortunately never reached the same highs in a Cas shirt. If Wakie have landed Andrew then just wow what a player. what a signing.
Re: Adam tangata
Why's Fifita not been able to get in Cronullas squad there not the strongest team im not saying he won't do well but I'd have question marks over him

Re: Adam tangata
John Fifita, Michael Beattie and a half fit Bob Lindner for half a season. Possibly our worst overall overseas recruitment ever? (was the 1987-88 season, in those days you could only sign 3 unless you were Wigan or Hull)

Re: Adam tangata
I felt a bit for Mr Hlad, he arrived at a time when anyone with an Australian accent and any kind of playing contract in Australia was considered good enough for SL.
He was transparent about his injury and fitness and still billed as the second coming!
We got lucky with a couple like that, but Brendan got rolled!

Re: Adam tangata
That dynamic trio were not here at the same time though, I'm sure there would be a few combinations in contention for our poorest overseas contingent for a given season.ERG2012 wrote: ↑15 Apr 2021, 07:20I'll raise youSpanishtiger wrote: ↑14 Apr 2021, 21:38 John Fifita, Michael Beattie and a half fit Bob Lindner for half a season. It's funny about Peter coyne. He was horrific for us but looking back on his have for st George he played awesome.

I thought big john had a few outstanding games and 6 tries out of 24 games wasnt a bad return for a forrard and we finished 7th in a 14 team league and in the play offs, just think what we could have done if Lindner hadnt come for a holiday
Beattie with 10 tries in 20 games didnt have a bad return either, although if i remember correctly, he couldnt tackle for toffee
Re: Adam tangata
Anyone remember that aussie back rower James Grehan we signed he was worst aussie signing we've ever signed think he only played about 4 games.

I thought we'd signed him from an nrl feeder club but says limoux grizzlies on Wikipedia, i remember watching his YouTube highlight reels n thinking he was a decent back rower who runs a good line. Just shows ya cant go off YouTube highlight reels.the machine wrote: ↑15 Apr 2021, 17:18Didnt we sign him from some random french 9th division team ?
He was a st george youth player and was in parramatta squad without playing a game.
