Re: Niall Evalds
Lol. We started negotiating with GOB months ago, it was him and his agent that made it clear he wanted to stay here if Toronto ended up going south. This was knowing Evalds was on his way as #1, that's how settled he's felt since he's been with us.
As for Hastings, Huddersfield have marquee signing Sezer in that position. Not a chance will they disrupt him.

Re: Niall Evalds
Sezer going home end of season
Re: Niall Evalds
What you basing that on???
Re: Niall Evalds
Thanks for clarifying that it isn’t confirmed he’s leaving, just reported.

Re: Niall Evalds
I doubt Wigan are wanting rid of Hastings. Seems like they're going back to how they were with Tomkins and Escare. 2 good fullback/half backs that can swap around and give them a strong attack. That doesn't really threaten Hastings' position

Hastings has signed a new deal with Wigan today.LeagueLeaders wrote: ↑11 Nov 2020, 13:38 I doubt Wigan are wanting rid of Hastings. That him and French who have signed new deals, a marquee player in Burgess and Bateman on his way back next season.
Producing their own youngsters certainly saves them a lot of money on the salary cap to enable them to sign so many top players.

So where is this been reported then ?????yefords84 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 11:16 Why is he getting linked to Huddersfield Giants when he has signed for Cas? Him and Jackson Hastings to go with Watson?
I know he is from that area? Are we that Skint we would consider a fee for a player who has yet to play a game? Is this why we done a deal for o brien?
Re: Niall Evalds
He said in since Woodford left but I can’t find any reports to back up these claims. I think this poster could be frainthepain under a new guise since his last was banned.fords wrote: ↑11 Nov 2020, 21:57So where is this been reported then ?????yefords84 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 11:16 Why is he getting linked to Huddersfield Giants when he has signed for Cas? Re: Niall Evalds
Evalds is a Cas player 100%. Him and his partner are currently looking for an house with a well known estate agent around this part. Really looking forward to seeing him in 2021.

Re: Niall Evalds
To be fair, he played well at full back in the stand in games a few seasons before.Fumper27 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 17:05So, he played centre “a couple of times”. In between being injured, it’s no surprise I couldn’t recall. Also, what did having the #1 jersey prove apart from the fact he was a terrible full back? You find me one Cas fan who says Ben Roberts played well for Cas anywhere other than at stand off and I’ll show you a liar...MrRugby123 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 15:16 Played centre a couple of times and had the number 1 jersey aswell so that shows he played across the backline, guessing you’re forgetful Dumper
It was only the permanent switch that it didn't go so well.

He's played well at fullback in the NRL as well he just didn't want to play full-back in 2018HuddsTigers wrote: ↑12 Nov 2020, 23:43To be fair, he played well at full back in the stand in games a few seasons before.Fumper27 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2020, 17:05So, he played centre “a couple of times”. My take was that he put his hand up to play there when no one else wanted it.

Re: Niall Evalds
Let’s hope he’s not disappointed.
Re: Niall Evalds
He should be looking to get in that World Cup team suppose Tompkins is first choice rightly so I'd pick Evalds myself and that was before he came to Cas in case anybody thinks I'm biased

Re: Niall Evalds
He’s got a really good chance. Lomax is now established as a half back and Hardaker will have played centre for two seasons before the World Cup. I don’t see Wane selecting players out of position like Bennett did, so I think that leaves Tomkins and Evalds.
I think Tomkins is ahead of Evalds at the moment, but it’s close. If Evalds has a very good season and Tomkins’ firm drops, he’ll have a good claim to that full-back spot come the start of the World Cup.
