Bringing Niall in early would be huge. He would give us a chance of winning silverware this year and will already be embedded in for next year.

Still to be announced.
So who is right is still yet to be clarified.
In fact it seems the difference of opinion is a bit of a storm in a tea cup.
If and when it is officially announced, we will all be happier.

Evalds comes in this season and the person was right as stated Evalds will be a Cas player BEFORE 2021.
Practise what you preach maybe???

You previously said that the deal was done, which you now admit is not the case.

I said that Evalds had not yet agreed to come to Cas early (true at the time) but that wasn’t to say things might change between then and now (which is what has happened.

Yes you said Evalds would be a Cas player before the 2021 season, which now, based on what I was told yesterday, looks like it could be right. However, you’re about two months later than you claimed, which is akin to putting the winning numbers on the lottery for a draw that has already happened.

At least (I think) we ALL agree that Evalds coming in, whenever it may be, will only be a good thing for the side in terms of competing for silverware both this season and beyond.

his contract with salford ends in november, so he was always going to be a cas player before 2021. ;)

KEYBOARD STUCK ON CAPS APOLOGY BUT IF WE DON'T GET EVALDS BEFORE CUP MATCH CAN'T HONESTLY SEE HIM COMING THIS SEASON. SOMEONE SAID SALFORD WANTED 5000 FOR HIM THINK IF TRUE WE SHOULD PAY IT PERSONALLY SOLVE THE SQUARE PEG ROUND HOLE PROBLEM

I reckon Cas will play the waiting game and use Eden until they can get Evalds without a fee. I still think Salford will let him go this season because their skint and now have Ecsare. Time will tell.

Interesting to see what they’ll do with escare for the rest of the season while he’s already been training at fullback for Salford.

And cas would do right.
Salford, and no doubt that director who kicked off, are being n aches but are paying for a good wage as part of their salary cap with no benefit to them.

Their own players some of whom will have taken a pay cut will be wondering why they’re PURPOSELY paying Evalds just to be an ass

Escare is a Salford player for this season. He as signed a 3 year deal. Tigers have signed Evalds for 2021-2024 seasons. Evalds won't be at Cas this year - he is on ferlough at Salford and is a Salford player until November. The only way we will get him in earlier is if we are prepared to pay a fee - which in the current climbate (i.e. releasing players) I rekon that is highly unlikely.

How is Evalds on furlough? Thought all players come off furlough as soon as the club start training, surely they cant just pick which players to take off furlough otherwise all the clubs would leave their injured players on furlough.

Salford could do the same as Toronto did with Gigot and play Escare as a trialist

As long as he doesn't "attend" training he could remain on furlough, they can also return to furlough if they get injured.
