How is Evalds on furlough? Thought all players come off furlough as soon as the club start training, surely they cant just pick which players to take off furlough otherwise all the clubs would leave their injured players on furlough.

Salford could do the same as Toronto did with Gigot and play Escare as a trialist

Assuming that would mean his 60k salary wouldnt count?

If not, what would be the point

As long as he doesn't "attend" training he could remain on furlough, they can also return to furlough if they get injured.

Companies can keep staff on furlough and take staff off furlough. They dont have to do the same for all employees. A rugby company can do exactly the same. The players are staff at the end of the day as they're payed a wage.

You'd be more peed off if you got laid off, in these times you need to be grateful to have a job never mind moaning about getting 20% less than someone else.

If he was laid off he'd walk straight into a job at cas.

I feel like a kid on a long journey in the car but with a subtle change to the wording......"Is he here yet?"

Well let's see who plays fullback and we will make our own conclusions.

As expected Evalds is in the 21man squad so isn't on furlough.

I guess it's only like us not wanting Mitch Clark to go to Wigan early?

If Daniel Smith signs for Hull kr I'd not want him leaving right now.

Evals is a top winger too remember

Don’t be ridiculous. When I suggested as much on the original Evalds thread, I was shot down with “Salford haven’t signed Escare to move Evalds”..

So, do we pay the 15k or the 5k, which ever it is.
Need to bring him in ASAP.
Eden did ok, but he’s no fullback.

15k/5k as got to be worth it.

Can't we ask for 5k for Mcmeeken now to go to Cats and use that?
