Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Verbal agreements *no special knowledge of this particular bicker in progress* are almost impossible to enforce on the basis that there is no accounting for intonation and intent.
That is why written agreements are so arduous because they have to account for every eventuality.
Liam Sutcliffe would be a good signing, to the matter in hand. He can clearly play and he wont be the first player to not quite get it right in some systems and do better in others - that may be with us. I know Barrie Mac pretty well and he always spoke highly of him when he broke in to the first team. He did also feel that always being in a full time sporting environment, he would have benefitted from a year of actual work, to get a handle on the real world.
I think the risk for Liam is that if he doesn't, as someone else said, get a position locked down, he risks being a bit Lee Smith - competent at a lot of things but not ever really cementing anything.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
A verbal contract is valid according to the letter of the law. However, if there is a verbal contract and then one party decides not to play ball then the only way that the other party can enforce the contract is to take it through the courts. A judgement has to be made of the potential benefits if the case is successful v the cost of such action and as a result few cases are pursued. I’m pretty sure there would not be considered to be enough benefit in getting Evalds early to justify pursuing a case in court.
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Thought sutty would be the next sinfield but never developed.
I don't rate him and certainly don't think he's rapid enough for any back position.
His best position would be a ball handling 13. However i repeat i don't rate him.
I do hold daryl in the highest esteem though so I'll go with him

Not a Full Back.
Not a Threequarter
Not a Halfback
Not a Second Row
Not a lot more to say.

Is Tom Holmes out of contract at the giants this year I would have liked to see him come back to Cas

Good don’t see a place for him
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Thanks for confirming what we already knew
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Matt Shaw at TotalRL has confirmed this evening that Sutcliffe has handed his transfer request in. IMO under DP he could be a good signing.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
not sure on that mate, too slow for the backs and not heavy or aggressive enough for the forwards. shame as he seems like a genuine kid so might go well in the championship.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
The problem I have with Sutcliffe is, you can't say he's improved since he burst on the scene a few year back. His career just seems to have plateaud. He's not fast enough for the backs and he's too light weight for the forwards. Leeds have tried him everywhere and cannot find a position for him which is worrying. The only position I can make a claim for him, is a ball handling loose forward. But his he really going to de-throne Massey or Milner?

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
he says in the league express he wants to nail down a regular position and he would prefer it to be number 6. don't think he'll get that at cas.

He's contracted at Leeds till 2021 I think so i would imagine he's got a deal somewhere else if he's asked for a transfer

Depends, I may think of employing him as the water carrier.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Theres no chance he's a SL standard 6 - another Ryan Hampshire that rates himself higher than other people do in my opinion. He's a back up utility and thats about it.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Well, I might be in a minority here but I would like us to sign Liam sutcliife. Wanting a fresh chance and a change of scenery. Not getting a regular spot at Leeds. Sounds to me like an ideal opportunity for DP and the rest of our coaching staff to work wonders again.
