Liam sutcliffe.
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Maybe, as stated, he's Shenny's replacement, till then, he'd have to settle fo a utility/bench player role... Just over thinking things a bit.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
I must admit whenever we played leeds and I saw Sutcliffe was playing, I was happy as he was no threat!
However, we know Daryl. And we know what he can do. And we know he thinks deeply about the game and our attacking shapes.
Maybe he’s going to adapt the new-old #13 ball playing lock forward. Other than that, he’s definitely great cover and puts pressure on truey and richo. Sutcliffe to 6 and either Truey or richo at 7 if there’s a drop in form.
I’d certainly prefer Liam Sutcliffe over a Jamie Ellis, and given he’s explained now he wants away and why, it seems to me he’s got the idea In his head that his career will be boosted with a little Powell magic.....
I can’t see him being fast enough as a Shenny replacement...can anyone else?

Just as another thought, I hope he’s not mike mcmeekens replacement? We need a bigger unit.

I'd say the new/old ball playing 13 and cover for other positions if we're bringing him to Cas

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
In that case then, Hardaker is available at the end of the year. Let's hijack Huddersfield and get him playing in the centres.

Sutcliffe signed Toronto 2021. He will be joined by Richie Myler...
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
You’ll get one right one day old boy....
PS - the Richie Myler move is old news as reported last month in the YEP:

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Sounds like they need them now!
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Think it’s likely we’ll see Toronto secure more than. Few players in the next week or two,
Sutcliffe seems obviously one - I can’t imagine cas competing for his signature as Toronto desperately desperately need him...and others.
One things for sure, Toronto do not deserve relegation to ch1. They can’t help visa issues.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Cas will be targeting players they need like a couple more players in the pack and obviously Evalds. There won’t be many comings and goings for most teams as the money isn’t there for them to be buying players.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Not sure why Toronto don't deserve relegation.
I know they are part of the expansionist agenda but at what cost and benefit.
They have encountered visa issues before.
Other than not taking Sky Money
I don't see the commercial argument.
They are up to the salary cap with a small squad.
So not sure how they will accommodate all these new players and balance the books

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Wasn't Toronto upto the cap hence why Gigot was playing for free, then the signed Watkins cant see how they can sign any more without releasing some.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
I'd take Roebuck now above Sutcliffe.
Please tell me he is not the calibre of player we are looking at
Re: Liam sutcliffe.
Having read that, I’m convinced they’ll wind up the operation, owing money to folks too.noxandrattles wrote: ↑15 Jul 2020, 11:39they have had visa issues for a long time and done nothing about itMysterio wrote: ↑15 Jul 2020, 10:03 Think it’s likely we’ll see Toronto secure more than. I don’t think they deserve to be in now, thanks for the info, it’s shocking.
I’d love featherstone to get a chance.

Re: Liam sutcliffe.
This thread really is BORING.!!
Firstly he's not coming to Cas.
Secondly he's a has been, who never was.
The thread was started on a rumour we may be interested, by a reporter of little substance.
Let's wind it up and move on.!!!

Stevie, don’t like a thread, don’t read it....simples.
As for LS, a player who can cover 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13 Would be a valuable addition to any squad. He is certainly not a “poor” player, just one, I feel, who suffered due to being hyped up too much, too soon.
