I doubt we've signed him the money he'll want is probably out of our budget.

Re: Kane Evans
We’ve got a lot of flexibility this year in terms of the salary cap.
All depends on who leaves and who comes in. If we lose high-earners like McMeeken, Moors, Sene-Lafeo and Millington and replace most of them with cheaper players then we’d have more to spend on a top-line prop.
I believe we’ve signed Evans, and it was done a few weeks ago.

Re: Kane Evans
There is an NRL approved site on google which allows you to see what salary the players are on. When I looked a few month ago, when we were first linked to Evans, it showed him to be on around $275k which is about £150k(ish). I believe this isn't that far away from what Junior Moors is alleged to be on.

Re: Kane Evans
Also worth remembering we have a couple of favourable option with the cap too.
As of next year, Jake Trueman will be considered a ‘club trained’ player, so if we name him as a marquee player only 75k of his salary will count towards the salary cap. We don’t need to pay him more, just name him and it frees up whatever he earns over 75k.
Likewise, we can choose to do the same with Liam Watts if we want to.
However (and it’s a big HOWEVER), it’s only useful if we actually have the cash to spend more on player wages.

Re: Kane Evans
I'm probably a lone voice but hes not a player I would want at Cas for big money.
20 to 30 mins at most.
Tackling technique leaves a bit to be desired.
If he's worth a contract at 150k then Liam Watts should be on 300k.

Re: Kane Evans
I think his minutes are more to do with how Parramatta play. They go with four forwards on the bench, and three of them are out-and-out props. Apart from Campbell-Gillard (a current Australian international), none of their props do many minutes.stevieblunder wrote: ↑06 Jun 2020, 13:15 I'm probably a lone voice but hes not a player I would want at Cas for big money.

So how confident are you of it being a completed move? How close is the source to the club?nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑06 Jun 2020, 16:08I think his minutes are more to do with how Parramatta play. Kane Evans dome deal
Re: Kane Evans
I personally think it’s highly unlikely WEVE secured Evans.
I’d be very very pleased though if so! A more athletic player than junior

He plays for Parramatta, so maybe re-signed. We'll soon see.flood light tiger wrote: ↑07 Jun 2020, 22:48 Watched eels and manly kane evens scores a try and commentators say has he signed for parra or as he signed somewhere else for next season
