I don’t tend to put anything unless I’m pretty sure. I usually find things out after they have happened (eg players we tried to sign but didn’t!). The person who told me is involved with Newcastle rather than Cas, and he also says we have tried to sign Ese Ese twice!Mysterio wrote: ↑13 Jun 2020, 16:23Thanks nottsnottinghamtiger wrote: ↑13 Jun 2020, 16:17Yes, I was told a few weeks ago that he has signed and I’ve heard nothing since then to suggest otherwise. I was asked how sure I was a couple of weeks ago and said 90%. That’s not changed.
You know what’s coming next.
What’s your run rate for accurate predictions and what level of integrity and in the know is your source. Cheers

Thanks notts.
I hope you’re right and it’ll be good to know if you’re a reliable source for future reference.

Re: Kane Evans
I'm obviously going against consensus here, I hope we dont sign Evan's. He looks lazy after the odd ball carry. Mainly 3rd man in tackles and always slow to get back on side. Maybe a fitness thing when resumed but I'm not as impressed with him as most seem to be. He off loads for no reason and no gain for the team, parramatta look a lot better team when he goes off and the starting props come back on although they are Campbell-Gillard and Junior Poulo.

This might be why he is available. He has facets of his game not quite right,SWISS TONY!! wrote: ↑16 Jun 2020, 12:11 I'm obviously going against consensus here, I hope we dont sign Evan's. We know what Daryl can do with that!
Nobody can claim Evans hasn’t got a lot of talent. You don’t sign for who he’s played with otherwise.
Offloading is never for no reason IMO, it’s all about when to stick or twist. To actually have someone else in the pack with that ability is a huge bonus.

Re: Kane Evans
I think we need to realise that we aren’t going to be signing international prop forwards from the NRL. I’d love us to sign Campbell-Gillard or Josh Papalii. But any player moving from the NRL to SL is doing so because they aren’t a leading player.Mysterio wrote: ↑16 Jun 2020, 13:14This might be why he is available. Millington wasn’t getting in the team at Canterbury. Jesse Sene-Lefao wasn’t getting in the team at Cronulla. Moors wasn’t getting in the team at Melbourne. They all came over and did very well in SL.

Re: Kane Evans
Good post Nottinghamtiger.
A refreshing change to read a commonsense post .
A few on here want to get to the chemist and buy a packet of ' get real ' tablets.
Were a little club who punch well above our weight.
We don't have the finances at present to make big money NRL signings.
We do however, have a fantastic team of coaches who are able to identify players we can develop.

I think you've had warnings before on this Notts but, if you persist with lacing your posts with common sense, realism and that annoying thing called balance, then you're going on the ignore list.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑16 Jun 2020, 13:49I think we need to realise that we aren’t going to be signing international prop forwards from the NRL. We’re NOT a little club. It’s time to shed that label and think more normal but.

Re: Kane Evans
I agree about shedding the ‘little club’ syndrome. But we haven’t quite made it yet as a big boy.
Still no major trophy for years.
Still no rich backer ala Warrington saints hull fc.
But with our resources will are punching above our weight.
Our shining light is Daryl Powell.
God knows where we would be without him.
Re: Kane Evans
We're a big club in terms of playing ability since Powell took over we should have won a major trophy in 2017 we look ready to put that right in the next few years I believe that

Can't see saints going after Evans if they've just secured Graham.

Maybe so but I can't see them going after another big name when they don't know how they're going to be financially
