Given Mcmeeken has only given away 6 penalties all season, I didn’t see home concede “a few penalties” last night

Re: McMeekan
3 penalties last night so 50% of penalties conceded in one match if your figure of 6 is right.

Re: McMeekan
This scapegoating of McMeeken is distasteful. People are leaping on a Toxic bandwagon.
I agree hes not playing to his potential, but hes outplayed our other second rower in the last two games.
The pack did its job last night and found great field position and also ensured our points conceded in the 80 was where you need it to be.
The major problem has been all season with our attack. Blunt, predictable and slow. We could do with a couple of Aussies with pace and size, any ideas anyone...

Re: McMeekan
I'm now convinced the Meeks bagging is purely based on the fact he's (apparently) leaving and nothing to do with how well he's playing.

Not by me, I'm glad hes going to be honest. Goes missing too much and for his size should be breaking tackles. Cant remember the last time he broke a tackle against another teams forwards. Last night he gave away some stupid penalties aswell.

Re: McMeekan
He's not the only one out of form, granted, but we know he's leaving. Do i want to see him play again for Cas, no. Would i rather see Storey or Peachey get game time, absolutely. Seasons over for us now, we've nothing to lose.
Re: McMeekan
Sorry to provide actually facts to dispute your witch hunt, but the stats on the official super league page show Mcmeeken as giving away 0 penalties yesterday.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 11:37 3 penalties last night so 50% of penalties conceded in one match if your figure of 6 is right.
Penalties yesterday were conceded by:
Gareth O’Brien x 1
Paul McShane x 2
Grant Millington x 2
Maybe you’re getting them confused with him knocking on when attempting to ball steal one on one?

Re: McMeekan
Looks like it, he gave the other team a chance to march up the field on at least 3 occasions due to stupid messing around. Which put the team under more pressure but I suppose that's alright in your eyes.
Re: McMeekan
Where did I say that it was alright?
I was merely countering your vitriol with actual facts.
Had the ball steals come off, we’d of got excellent field position. Another time, they do come off

Yes but they didnt and it puts us under pressure when we dont need it. So you think McMeekan is worthy of his place every week do you on his past 5 performances.

The main difference between oggy and mcmeeken, wether the end result is there or not, is oggy actually looks like he wants to be on the pitch, actually looks like hes desperate to break the tackle and go forward,North Leeds Tiger wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 12:20 This scapegoating of McMeeken is distasteful. Oggy doesn't stand about with his hands on his hips either. Soon as we're on the back foot, McMeeken becomes Mr Invisible.the machine wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 17:35The main difference between oggy and mcmeeken, wether the end result is there or not, is oggy actually looks like he wants to be on the pitch, actually looks like hes desperate to break the tackle and go forward,North Leeds Tiger wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 12:20 This scapegoating of McMeeken is distasteful. Re: McMeekan
Got to say I thought he was unlucky with the steals. Still not sure how it was classed as a knock on as both times the ball came backward towards mcmeeken so should be classed as backwards. Especially the second one and if anything should have been classed as a loose carry and therefore a knock on by wire

But it wasn't and put us under pressure, aswell as him having a poor attitude. He gets in the team no matter how badly he plays. No wonder fans are getting peed off with him.SWISS TONY!! wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 19:55Got to say I thought he was unlucky with the steals. Be interested to know what you mean by poor attitude ?westerbeast73 wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 20:13But it wasn't and put us under pressure, aswell as him having a poor attitude. Re: McMeekan
But what's the difference between and watts being stripped of the ball? Griffen being stripped of the ball? They were unlucky and put us up against it. As did the Richardson no try, all put us under pressure and we struggled to cope resulting in us losing the possession. But because mcmeekin is flavour of the month then hes the devil. Hes probably guilty of trying too hard wanting to make the big play to prove his worth. The worse thing he did was miss the tackle along with foster that did cost us the game. Griffen gave away penalties and Milner normally does. Are these the next to be bagged?westerbeast73 wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 20:13But it wasn't and put us under pressure, aswell as him having a poor attitude. Re: McMeekan
Your talking about 1 game, I'm saying hes been bad in the last 5 games. The fact the club dont want to pay him what he wants is enough ontop of his poor attitude. Cas signed him when he was nothing built him up to a very good player in 2017. Very poor since then so good ridance.SWISS TONY!! wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 21:01But what's the difference between and watts being stripped of the ball? Griffen being stripped of the ball? Re: McMeekan
I’ve never seen a player who is so obviously not bothered. Sure, we’ve had lazy players before, but at the moment McMeeken is taking the absolute proverbial.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 21:18Your talking about 1 game, I'm saying hes been bad in the last 5 games. Now the top four is gone, it’s time to stop playing those who are moving on next year and build for 2021. It’s now more advantageous to play Tyla Hepi, Sam Hall and Bailey Hodgson than Mike McMeekan, Junior Moors and Greg Eden/James Clare. This season is basically worth nothing to us now, so we should be taking advantage to build the experience of the players who will be here next season.
