Only reason he’s going to catalan is for the money then.

If we offload McMeekan and Moors, theres some serious cash to be spent for 2021. Both are top earners.

These are uncertain times most players who are out of contract this year are going to go to who offers most money

I would be disappointed if he were to leave.
In his pomp he is a real handful.
Admittedly he has not recaptured his 2017 form but this could be said of quite a few.
The extra cash and the South of France what's not to like.
Good Luck to the lad if he goes but as other people have pointed out we are not short of options.

The thing is that whilst that is true of our many of that 2017 team, most of them were at an age where they should have been at their peak that year. McMeeken wasn’t and he should be better now than he was in 2017. But he isn’t. He’s gone backwards.
If he thinks he’s going to develop more under McBanana than under Powell, then he’s crazy. But I guess money talks, and RL players only get a handful of chances to negotiate contracts during their career.

5k is £416.67 a month or 96.15 a week.
Is 5k worth upping your family, to play in France.
Especially with a small baby.
Seems a strange one.

Means nowt until the ink is dry on the contract. Looks like your source could turn out to be untrustworthy

Before tax.
But he could have been offered 30k more; it’s all speculation.

If he was going to develop even more under Powell then surely he would have done so by now, maybe a change of clubs is just what Mike needs to get his career back on track.

Or maybe he is as good as he’s going to get and he looked better than he is in 2017 when we were dominating games.
I can’t think of many players who have left Cas in the Powell era and gone on to improve.
