Greg Eden
Re: Greg Eden
With a bit more application Eden could easily have become our full-back and a good one too
Olpherts looked ok wouldn't surprise me if he ended up playing in centres at some point

Re: Greg Eden
Wingers have to catch as many high balls as full-backs these days.classycas57 wrote: ↑25 Jan 2020, 17:21But he cant catch a high ball???
However, Greg is no full-back.
Re: Greg Eden
God when are ever going to get off this roundabout about fullback. It's obvious the club aren't concerned about it or they would have addressed the issue. I suppose someone eventually will notice and rectify the problem. They might not have realised Zak isn't there.

Remember towards the back end of last season in a 5 week run Rankin won man of match 4 times. He must be doing something right.
Re: Greg Eden

Re: Greg Eden
My issue with him is that he doesn’t offer enough of an attacking threat against good defences. It’s alright doing against the likes of London, Wakefield, Hull KR and Huddersfield, but as yet I’ve not seen him so anything against the better teams.blinkstudios wrote: ↑26 Jan 2020, 11:13 Remember towards the back end of last season in a 5 week run Rankin won man of match 4 times. Yes probably because our forwards dont dominate the better teams.

Re: Greg Eden
The stats don’t back that up though. We have the as much possession and territory, but we don’t put points in the scoreboard.blinkstudios wrote: ↑26 Jan 2020, 13:05 Yes probably because our forwards dont dominate the better teams.

Re: Greg Eden
We seem short of ideas when we get within 20m of their line. However to pin that on one player RANKIN is totally wrong. The whole team look terrible not just one player.

I think the reason being is we are so slow off the floor.
Watching us playing Toronto we seem to take an age getting to our feet.
Yes teams lay on, but we should show more effort and put the doubt in the refs mind the opposition is slowing play down.
Then we are to shallow we need to stand deeper to give us more space to play in. Just my opinion.
Re: Greg Eden
I'm with you OCL, apart from the odd player, there's no fight to get up and play the ball. We need players with fire in their belly. Looking at boxing day we're still using the same old plays and not throwing the ball about. Teams know what we're going to do, its so predictable.old cas lass wrote: ↑26 Jan 2020, 14:44nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑26 Jan 2020, 14:14The stats don’t back that up though.
