But surely we haven’t given Olpherts a 3 year deal to be 3rd or 4th choice???
Correct mate we will be seeing a lot of him
I would imagine anyway

How long as he got left on his contract can't see him getting another club willing to pay what he will be on at Cas so it's a puzzle how you can say he's just leaving before end of his contract is up

Lets be honest, Eden looked good on the left with Gale and Hardaker feeding him - anyone would have scored 30 plus tries on our left that year. Yes he has produced some fantastic finishes, but since his injury he seems to have lost confidence and rarely now backs himself to go for the corner. He has no rugby brain, makes the same mistakes time after time and can be a liability. We have pace in Feki and Olpherts for next season. Surely the better option is to try and keep Minikin and let Greg go? If anyone will take him that is.

every player in our squad can go the length of the pitch mate, we just need them to be able to go the length of the pitch faster than the opposition players that are chasing them.

I disagree, I certainly don't think Feki is a power winger any more than Greg E. He doesn't have anything like the power of even Faraimo at Hull, but does seem to have very good - excellent pace.
IMO...we've signed him for speed.

Yet again we are quick to jump on any player rumoured to be leaving. There's only a very small percentage of people on here that may have criticised Eden during his time at Cas with most certainly enjoying his try scoring exploits. Yes, he was given plenty of opportunity to score from the service inside but they still needed scoring and he did it very well.
I'm happy he'll be playing against Salford.

correct mate the same will happen when Gale goes and Mitch Clark went from being a cracking impact player off the bench to a useless waste of space overnight

I'd much rather have Eden in our squad than not in it and I think he'd very easily get a SL deal somewhere else. May make some boo-boos but then we've had a few of those this season.

There’s a balance between doing brilliant things and making errors. Think DP felt that Eden was making more errors than doing good things, so he dropped him. At times he is a liability.
Clare doesn’t have the brilliance but makes few mistakes, so DP sees him as reliable. ( I know they play opposite wings so not suggesting either or).

Hope your right but from what I've seen hes knocked a few people out of his road to score most of his trys, not seen him beat anybody on the outside or go round players to score.
The one thing we lack beyond anything else in this side is raw pace.
Time will tell and I'll be thrilled if your right sir!

Eden is currently our best winger but out of form. Outside shenny and gale he scored 40 tries and didn't get a call up to the international game. Handley scored 25 this season playing outside 2 current International players in hurrell and myler and does.
Who would you give the ball to 95 metres away from the try line?
Ones at the very top of his game and the other not. There's only one answer.

I’d keep Eden yeh he does some silly stuff but he’s our best winger and scores for fun when he gets the service.
17/2 to score 2 or more tonight

Was 10/1 last night.
Also Trueman to score 2 at 50/1 last night (40/1 now) and Rankin 40/1 (33/1 now).
Both crazy prices (bear in mind Ryan Lannon was 28/1 and Jaqcues O Neil 50/1)
