If he had been sacked he would have to go through internal disciplinary proceedings, which don’t take a few days as we know.

Based on that I think we can rule it out as another spurious rumour started by someone with nothing else better to do (IMO).

Interesting story on the P&C website about Police looking for a 6 foot tall muscular man who had been seen outside a house on Love Lane, waving what looked like a firearm about and wearing a balaclava.

I'm not saying this is the incident referred to but a strange coincidence. Mind you, there's been a few 'Police' incidents in the Five Towns of late!
