Re: New era.
Payment up front for our 3 too - can’t be doing with yet another direct debit each month! It will suit a lot of people though and I’m pleased to see the club bring something in that might benefit more people. Hopefully, having more options will help to bring some fans back that have been missing for a while.
Re: New era.
It was a difficult animal to manage when we had paper season ticket books; there were apparently several people who would sign up and elect to pay with installments, but immediately cancel the direct debit. It left them with a full book of match passes, but the club out of pocket.
With the digital season cards, they can now be instantly cancelled, so the club doesn't really lose. Also, bear in mind these memberships mainly begin in november, so by the time the first games come around, each person should have plenty of credit in their account so that a similar strategic cancellation wouldn't work (for example, signing up in Feb, enjoying 3 home games for £20, and then immediately cancelling). I assume there will be some kind of cut-off for new signups...

I've signed up and at £16.67 a great deal. I normally pay up front but thought I'd try this.

I agree it didn’t seem to work that well but I’ve never heard it used as the excuse for ‘nearly bankrupting the club’ before. I think it was aimed at trying to alleviate an already shocking financial situation ultimately saved by Clark and Sky.Fumper27 wrote: ↑23 Sep 2021, 21:50Exactly. The Steve Ferres “gimmick” was a disaster, particularly the “members only in the Wheldon Road end”. There was no payment plan with the 2013 version, just a key ring, hat and a load of other tosh.Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑23 Sep 2021, 21:48 Don’t remember Ferres bringing a similar scheme in. It was one which allowed three levels of Membership, gold, silver and bronze with a card system ( which we still have) and a gift box ( which we don’t). Didn’t hear that had anything to do with our bad financial position, thought it was more to do with expensive and urgent safety repairs to the Stadium. We were saved by selling Clark and an up front cash payment from Sky to Super League clubs.

Re: New era.
I haven't decided yet what option to take. Not being too good health wise would probably miss one or two games. But supporting the club financially is a must in my opinion so I'll come up with something. Coyf.
Re: New era.
Just had an email from the club about the new season tickets. It says two games (Warrington and Leigh) were missed because they were behind closed doors but no mention of the Saints home game that we forfeited.
Re: New era.
The first game of the season, the Leeds loop fixture was supposed to be a home game, wasn't it? Even though we played it at Headingley.

They’ve put something on the site about three options to compensate for the Saints game

Does anyone know if child season tickets/membership still include away matches?

Not sure mate. I know it's not been a thing in recent times with what's gone on. Be a bonus but not a deal breaker.
