Cheyse Blair
Cheyse Blair
Does anyone actually know what’s happening with him?
Could of easily put this in the rumour section as that’s probably what the comments will be,
I know his family is back in Australia and I honestly feel for the bloke, must be some struggle being away from them especially with 2 young kids but is he happy to stay or is he infact upping sticks and going back?
Not like there is any reason to wait for an announcement now.

Re: Cheyse Blair
Been such a mixed bag for Cheyse. Came over flung straight into a team struggling. Started the 2020 season well and the pandemic hit and he never recaptured the form. Been in and out and hasn't really hit any decent form imo for us. I dont think it will help that his wife and kids aren't over here with him. Got to feel for him in that respect. I just hope if he does stay next year a new coaching team can be a fresh start for him.

Re: Cheyse Blair
A graduate of the John Wells school of recruitment. A very poor signing who has offered zero from day one. Wife and kids scenario does not cut it with me. He is supposed to be a professional sportsman paid by the club. I assume the club did not forcibly drag him onto a plane to the UK. I accept the big C kicked in and changed the landscape. However we have all had to cope with it. He could have asked for a release and gone home. He chose to stay and take the money. All we ask is he gives us 100% effort when he puts the shirt on. Can he honestly look us fans n the eye and say that he has??
Re: Cheyse Blair

Re: Cheyse Blair
Heard asked for a fee to be released early to go back home. Cas laughed at him
Re: Cheyse Blair
we ought to have a collection at an home game and let the lad go back to his family is heart as never been in a CAS jerseyTigersbarmy wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 00:48 Heard asked for a fee to be released early to go back home. Cas laughed at him
Re: Cheyse Blair
You think the way to entice future overseas players is to have a bucket collection to send them back home? Hats off to the lad for trying his hand halfway around the world, especially without his support network away from the game in place at home.

Re: Cheyse Blair
We're going to have pay his wages next year anyway it makes sense to try and come to some sort of agreement with him ...that's if Radders dosnt want him like

Re: Cheyse Blair
Blair's performances show he as no interest in being here, a release agreement would surely suit both parties.
Re: Cheyse Blair
Does he really intend to stay though that’s the question? Should Cas call his bluff?Sharlotiger wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021, 13:07 Blair's performances show he as no interest in being here, a release agreement would surely suit both parties.
The timing I don’t really get that it’s still seemingly unknown
Re: Cheyse Blair
I don't think he ever settled. Don't get me wrong I think he has the attributes to be a decent player but if your heart isn't in it what's the point. Maybe it's not just what he expected coming to the jungle. But I wish him well in the future.
Re: Cheyse Blair
Lazy half hearted and no winning mentality is how I would say for the big cheese he could be a force but he just hasn’t got it in him imo for what ever reason can radford change that who knows. I can’t imagine life’s all fun for him though missing out on his wife and kids for months at a time has to be tough. For him to sit and collect a wage and be a bit part player I suppose it seems the contract he’s on must have some good monetary value to it. Shame it just hasn’t worked so far.
Re: Cheyse Blair
i hope there is more home work done before we sign from down under you must question who ever passed the last two medically fit
Re: Cheyse Blair
Given Sosaia Feki averaged 21 NRL games per season over 7 seasons before joining us, what do you think they would find to put us off signing him?
Re: Cheyse Blair
there must have been something mate as he as turned out to be a very expensive signing two years wages for ten mins on the field is this a record ?

Re: Cheyse Blair
Not really,
Only in the fact that he’s occupied a squad and quota spot.
His wages will have been covered by insurance for both years due to the length he was out.
